Ramrod 258 Posted August 31, 2019 West Ham showed their physicality aided and abetted by the referee but there was a verve missing from our play. The heads dropped once Zimm went off and is it possible Timm Klose's injury and the setback on Tuesday played a part because this looked nothing like a Norwich team. We had a go at the end, hence the openness which WH exploited without scoring and some players, like Lewis, never stopped running but others lol e Emi just seemed to be feeling sorry for themselves. Amadou did well and I hope Zimm or GH are back against ManC to allow him to add physicality to the midfield where Leitner and Trybull look lightweight. Excellent comments by Efan Ekoku saying we need to mix up our play. He gave it 8 or 9 games before fans demand change. You sometimes have to play ugly and win the right to play at this level. Expansive play cost us possession and goals today. Surely it doesn't have to be all or nothing?
TeemuVanBasten 3,327 Posted August 31, 2019 Buendia needs dropping and restoring to the first team when he decides he's up for the fight.
Michael Starr 519 Posted August 31, 2019 Yes Buendia is a shadow of his 2018/19 self.
Surfer 1,547 Posted September 1, 2019 Emi bulked up over the summer, has that cost him any speed or nimbleness? He still got two assists against Chelsea though.
