Chase had nine seasons out of ten in the top flight along the way and we had a national profile as a top flight club. Delia has only managed six out of twenty four and in the process downgraded our national profile to Championship status. This is the essence of my gripe against Delia.

Had it not been for Bowkett, McNasty and Lambert our stock would be junk status by now. And we are still owed an explanation by the SS as to why Bowkett left just after being re-elected by shareholders.

Your gripe is based on an unequal set of circumstances, it does not have essence it has an odour.

Then your gripe is surely misguided.  Chase's top flight tenure nearly led to bancruptcy but Delia's top flight tenure has led us to financial well being, the ability to hire top talent and that has seen us bounce back again and again and again.

On your earlier point, I remember the football of Williams and Stringer too and it was fantastic, but it was of it's time and football has moved on.  It's a shame you can't seem to move on with it.

You should try it, it's the most joyous time to be a fan - and it's happening now, not 30 years ago.

I told you all well before the season started Norwich City were going to come a cropper because of the lack of defensive preparedness for this season at this level.

So now we have had 4-1 against Atalanta, 4-1 against Liverpool and 3-2 against Chelsea. The Suffolk Socialists decided to prepare the club for The Championship next season instead of the EPL this season so now the chickens are coming home to roost. Already the most goals conceded in the EPL. The SS are just not committed to football at this level because they will not go to the next step financially. They are haunted by Naismith and so spending no money at all is now their mantra.

It is not just me highlighting the shortcomings. The boy Downs on Canary Call virtually said all the same things word for word.

We are well on course to be the highest scoring team ever to be relegated from the EPL. Just as I predicted. Delia and Wynnie must go. No one else is responsible as we have seen these shortcomings year after year, coach after coach.

Why aren’t you worrying about Coventry and Blackpool hot on your teams tails?

Not quite right Squit and i am most certainly not defending BV but Chase was bought out by just Watling. Delia turned up 18 months later.

You're both half right. When Watling brought out Chase Delia and MWJ were invited on to the board by Martin Armstrong in return for half a million each. 18 months later Geoffrey Watling sold them the majority shareholding.

So it's definitely Watling who thought Delia and Michael would be worthy custodians. I think he has been proved right time and time again...

Sorry, Jobsworth. In the digital world, you are what you type.

If Big Whimsical wants to express HIMSELF through a digital medium, then the post represents the man, his feelings and his thoughts.

-or women as the case maybe.

First, did you really just quote yourself? That is a very telling.

Second, the OWNERS of the club really owe you NOTHING. It’s a business. If you don’t like it, take your patronage south of the border.

Get over yourself, son. Maybe nobody has ever told you that it’s not about you. Sorry.

Fair point as long as the poster who continually attacks using the negative can also respond with equally positive posts when we are successful, which we currently are.

Feel free to support someone else then, assuming that you do actually support Norwich.

Arsenal lost 3-1 to Liverpool. Have they decided to "prepare the club for The Championship next season" ?
Then there's Chelsea. They lost 4-0 to Man U. Have they also decided to "prepare the club for The Championship next season" ?
Maybe West Ham, who lost 5-0 to Man City are another team who have also decided to "prepare the club for The Championship next season".

All these clubs that have decided to "prepare the club for The Championship next season", they'll all be fighting for the bottom 3 !

I presume that you know of a number of billionaires that are itching to throw away more money than the NHS budget and are eager to take the place of Smith & Jones?

Pathetic.

What a tw*t. I'm sure city lost three of their six games in total last season by early September. City are still settling in and Farke, as a manager, finding his feet in the Premiership.

City will finish well above the relegation places come the end of the season.

Those shares were just resting in Watlings account before they moved on to thier intended destination.

Shareholders are also part-owners of the club and if the chairman resigns a couple of weeks after being re-elected by the shareholders (in good faith that he was going to serve out his term in office) then I would suggest that all the part-owners are entitled to an explanation, especially as the AGM allows for a question and answer session, but when Wynnie was asked about this, he evaded the question.

I was there on the night as a witness to proceedings.

Agree with Vince and Jobsworth- posters on here are extremely rude if there views on here differ from themselves. please be more open and expansive in thoughts .

Agree city must do something about there defence has its so far been far from ideal and it should had been resolved before the start of the campaign , taking into account goals conceded  last season

You lot just don't get it, do you?

Norwich City have been conceding goals for donkeys years now. I can't think of a single season under the Suffolk Socialists where Norwich have been tight at the back (except maybe when they had Malky in 03-04). Delia has banned all her coaches from investing in quality central defenders, but has absolutely encouraged them to bring a lot of dross to those positions (Jackson, Doherty, Helveg, Simon Charlton, and, best of the lot, who can forget, Russell Martin) The latter was so bad, Delia rewarded him with a new contract just as Farke took over. Now we have Hanley as the joker in the pack.

Do any of you seriously believe that Greg Downs doesn't have a clue what he is talking about? The boy played as a defender himself and at the top level with Norwich and Coventry. He said they let in too many goals last season and it was a no-brainer that they would have to strengthen central defence going into an EPL season. He is right. I am right. But sadly we are in a sea of numpties on here.

You can't mean to tell me the SS have no input on football matters. When the boy Farke came here he had a reputation for keeping things tight at the back. I think he was going at about 0.5 goals per game in the BL4. As soon as he comes here, he gets captured by the SS and the floodgates open at the back.

It is Delia who won't defend. Whoever is the coach won't make a scrap of difference.

You don't get points on the board for artistic impression. This is not gymnastics.

Norwich fans must be the only known species who go around losing with a big grin on their faces.

No but you get points for scoring 3 goals against Newcastle and only conceding 1.

If Delia can do that in all the remaining games this season and in all the CL games next season she might just get absolution.
