Alex Harvey-Jones 0 Posted January 10, 2006 We all know Worthy demands a very high level of fitness and sometimes appears to prefer players who run all day to those with genuine skill/creativity! I wonder whether he is pushing the players so hard in training that they are exhausted when it comes to a match and it is causing them to pick up injuries. It is a well known fact that over exertion and exhaustion makes players more prone to injury. High levels of fitness are good and we can certainly keep going longer than some teams as we showed in the prem last year but if you push it too far it can do far more harm than good!! Any thoughts??
