Fat Barman 0 Posted January 11, 2006 Note that he went to a top-flight German side - whose to say he would have even considered a second tier english outfit?
chocolate nutter 0 Posted January 11, 2006 I think you will find that the top flight german team are in fact struggling at the bottom of their league!!!.
Fat Barman 0 Posted January 11, 2006 I''m well aware of the German side''s league position - the fact remains that players will join struggling top division sides (Dean Ashton?), hoping they will make the difference, in preference to joining a lower division side in the hope of promotion! You need look no further than Redknapp at Pompey to see how even a poor side in the top flight has a much better chance of signing players (wage bills perhaps?) than do their lower league brethren. westoncanary. 0 Posted January 11, 2006 Well said Barman, plus the fact they are on a winter break (which they have each season btw), might have swayed it for him. Doesn''t it seem a bit cheap for an international though, couldn''t have been a lot of interest in him...........wonder why?
Huddy 0 Posted January 11, 2006 and we payed nearly 200k more for bloody etuhu. Another great player slips through nigels ever holier net. At least that could be the end of the sign Jan kristiansen posts now that he''s moved again.
3pmkickoff 0 Posted January 11, 2006 So if he was that good and available for under £300K then why haven''t any premiership clubs gone in for him. A player whose enigma was amped up by being good on Championship Manager
AJ 1,218 Posted January 11, 2006 clubs did go for him, if you kept up with previous threads about him......
