It's not all bad

Recommended Posts

To gain a sense of perspective just look at the table. We are 3 points off the play-offs, that''s all there is in it.  IF we had beaten Preston we would be in the play-offs in the exact same position as they are now, and eveyone is saying what a great team they are!!  The 5 game run we went on could prove to be the most important of Worthy''s reign at the club, as it has established us in the chasing pack with 4 months of the season left.

Also, Deano is still here at the moment, most of us thought he''d be long gone by now, and with one or two quality additions in the transfer window & we''ll be up there at the end of the season I''m sure.  Most of us expected (me included) to be doing better than we are, but injuries & new faces coming in to the club has made it difficult for the team to gel properly.

So look on the bright side & stop second guessing the club as regards to funds & who we have made bids for, the truth will be known come the end of this month.

on the negative side its more like 3 points behind a form team who have a superior goal difference and a game in hand so its more realistic to treat the margin as 7 pts but if we could repeat the pre-Preston run then we could establish a play-off place.

Youre logic is faultless Weston, but Preston have "consistency" against sides from all parts of this division, City don''t, and for the next month a makeshift midfield that will further make consistency impossible, see how many points off play offs by beginning of Feb, if still 3 you may have a point, unlikely though.
