Herb 0 Posted December 28, 2005 Yes!! An almost telepathic move by Ashton and Hucks and its 2-0!Maybe Hucks can convince Ashton the grass isn''t always greener on theother side of the fence - he knows it better than anyone...keeping myfingers crossed. Syteanric 1 Posted December 28, 2005 Burnley goal was a fluke... it was scored at teh barclay and from where we sat we all thought the ball had gone over the net and wondered why their fans were cheering...2nd half we were awful, had the ref of noticed the tug on Noel-Williams in the box the game would of ended 2-2 and it would of been a different story completely... Sunday see''s the transfer window open.. Ashtons on 11 goals, after him Hucks and Wee paul are on 4... WHEN Deano goes so do our hopes of Premiership football and another 20 "grafters" are signedjas :)
macdougalls perm 0 Posted December 28, 2005 jas, I assume you didn''t notice how close we came to scoring three times at the River End second half. And, if the ref had noticed WLY get flattened in penalty box we may also have had a pen. We weren''t as good as we were in the first half, but to say we were awful is a huge exaggeration. And we''ve scored 5 times in the last 2 games, only one of which was scored by Ashton. And its IF not WHEN Ashton goes, I think you are being quite melodramatic. But we still had miles more chances than Burnely to score. Mckenzie should have scored twice. While McVeigh was making a monkeyout of their backline too, and was so unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Personally, I''m just enjoying this good form while it lasts.
