Jesus Christ - terrible defending and then compounded with an absolute assault. Why on earth we ever signed him is beyond me, he's just not a competent footballer. Glad we're shot of him and never have to see him in a City shirt again - atrocious footballer and an absolute thug by the looks of things - he put Tom Cairney out for 6 months in 2012 after a similar assault.

Horrible challenge, looked like he was expecting it to go out of play and then panicked when it didn’t. Not a very good footballer and one of our few poor signings lately.

We've been absolutely spoiled the last season with our fullbacks !

With this one he clearly expects it to go out of play and doesn't realise how quickly the attacker is coming down the wing, and then slips while trying to make the challenge and ends up going through him.  Yes really bad but I'm not convinced he meant to do that.

He was a pretty poor fullback here but we have two of the best who've ever played at City right now so he looks even worse by comparison !

... what game where you watching springs to mind!

Why would anyone challenge like that in the corner of the pitch.   Little danger, a good defender simply forces the forward back along the side line and tries to force a throw in.      Pre-meditated violence.   Someone said he's a thug - can't disagree.

They were 3-0 up at the time too.

That is just horrendous.

It should carry a 6 month ban, with wages being donated to charity.

Quite disgusting, it's a potential career ending assult.

I like your Train of thought Keirano.

Well maybe you should have used the past tense as in liked not likes. 😜

Just because he doesn't play for him now doesn't mean he doesn't still like him.

You're just being needlessly petty.

The post i quoted suggested that he still plays for Fleetwood by saying ' Barton likes him ' and i merely pointed out that he now plays for Blackpool. Then along comes a dose of sarcasm with the detective remark and you reckon i am petty...yeah whatever .

Have a nice evening.

I guess all you had to do to be a detective back then was turn up.
