Sounds like your cough is softening Broado, and please dont call me matey, I'm not your mate and doubt I ever will be,  with an outlook like yours.

How original.

Correct !! If you can find where I,  or anyone else  has used those words, pray tell.

Or have you had it said to you before  and if so,  I wonder why.

Eh?

What are you on about now? How petty.

Btw my use of that term was never meant in the friendly way that you seemed to assume.

Dur!

Then when people point out your hypocrisy you start getting all upset again."

I expected that rather ridiculous distortion of of exactly what has been posted as you never seem to like to be proven to be in the wrong.

The fact that you consider my original posting "silly" (my wording) confirms this and the fact that anybody who fails to conform to your way of thinking is clearly in the wrong.

Neither am I "all upset," but may be just getting increasingly frustrated by those among us who seem only able to grasp at offence based upon some pre-conceived issue that they nurture and then read between the lines rather than the lines of  of just exactly what was posted in the first place.

Nothing unexpected though.

I've never said anything about your views on gay people, I teased you for being a bit of a prude.

It seems you want people to say you are homophobic (which you described yourself) - so you can then accuse them of being a 'snowflake'.

I think you have failed to grasp the concept that words have meanings  and if the word isn't  correct for the message you are trying to convey then USE DIFFERENT WORDS!!!!

Or did you NOT mean to sound like a reactionary dinosaur  in the first place, because you sounded exactly that.

Well that's one way of interpreting things I suppose.

Being non-homophobic, and I have worked ( and socialised)with many gay people and ladyboys (x3) on occasions where the level of their competence in their profession when beside me an attributes as a person are all I am concerned with, does not mean that you cannot draw a line in aspects of their personal relationship which are something I feel is none of my business, and am not aquainted with and which I do not wish to witness.

That's all. Make of it as you wish. Snowflake.

I really do not think I need a lecture in the meaning of words ...do you?

What a damn cheek.

Look matey (oops) your argument seems to have descended into personal insults and pettiness. Please call it a day. I know your views fully and nothing of what you or I  have said justifies peddling insults.

I just wish that this wasn't headline news.

Some will disagree and have dug depths to justify it but I feel that it will achieve nothing for the "cause," whatever that is.

I honestly feel that most level headed people in society, nowadays, are educated enough, wise enough and free thinking enough to accept a person in other ways than sexual orientation. Those that cannot probably never will, but will likely have to shelve their prejudices the more they see themselves as being infra dig, so to speak.

I must be slightly homophobic as I need to turn my head away when I see men kissing each other on my television screen and I  rail against Gay Pride marches feeling they go too far. This delicate being is a little put out by them and does not wish to watch the antics.

Perhaps it's an age thing. Perhaps it's a normal hetrosexual's reaction.

Keep a low profile in life say I (except on the PInkUn forum that is) so I would want this to be a non-issue on a  live and let live basis.

Is wishing this all not to be made public in such a way another normal "hetro" reaction though, or is the fact that it is turning into  a fanfare also a step too far?

What an outdated view. Are you a Brexiteer by any chance?!

Can I ask what makes an outdated view and why does an “outdated view “ not have as much relevance as a modern view ?

Ha ha ha, to be cheeky to you I must be somewhere below you in some arbitrary  pecking order.  Please explain  where, how , or what this pecking order is.

If it's an age thing   then I can forgive  your self appointed superiority as a lot of older  people  feel superior,  mistakenly, of course.

Snowflake time.

Calling out someone’s homophobia isn’t “snowflake time”.

If seeing members of the same **** being affectionate and loving to each other upsets/offends you, then maybe you’re the “snowflake”.

Those who have been unable to accept "the vote" still seem unable to accept it all after three long years and therefore raise the matter at every opportunity. Pathetic.

For the record, I am neither a Brexiteer nor a Remainer. I am just totally, totally against the institution that the EU has become and therefore want change of any sort, in any way.

What this has to do with gay pride I am at a loss to know..

Gyrate in thongs, like in love island you mean.? The programme  that children watch , you mean?

Live and let live. Do no harm. Forgive  others for that which you would wish to be forgiven yourself. Its not so hard Broado, many people would think your ( personas) hard drinking , abrasive  attitude was offensive,  I find it silly and rather amusing.

I went to Pride 2013 in Amsterdam with a relation and my wife, it was ok, friendly, non violent and quite entertaining.  After an hour or two I went to watch footy  on my own in a bar, they stayed at the parade. No virtue signalling as my vices far outweigh my virtues, but there are still many that find  homosexuality essentially  wrong. The only way to change that is by education and assimilation.

Whether  this is all a big hoax or not, no matter, it has brought  out  a glimpse  of what the LGBTQ+ Community are up against,  even  today.

I wouldn’t dream of letting my children watch love island for the exact same reason I wouldn’t want them at a pride march. Both are very overly sexualised. As opposed to carnival dancing which isn’t

I think you mean explanation  rather than translation  Broado. Try  reading it a bit slower, then comprehension may be attained.  I will not bother you with  any more complex  responses than my last one , as you seemed to  struggle with even that.

I just don't like to watch it.

Who said anything whatsoever abound being "upset or offended?"

It's a preference not some sort of deep lying prejudice, despite the snowflakes among us crying wolf and setting the grievance industry into full voice.

Have you never seen what is called wining? Or bump n grind? Both very sexualised dances and  both very prevalent at carnivals.

Carnival is extremely sexualised.

Not at all. If you feel insulted, then I would suggest you just might be an original , never  to be repeated, formation of Ice crystals   around  a speck of dust.

What on earth are you on about now?

"Ice crystal around a speck of dust?" Are you perhaps a little bit the worse for wear?

You seem to be just another one who comes over with your high-handed views, readily jump to well-worn conclusions, then sit comfortably upon your pedestal and when challenged, instead of being able to come up with some sort of decent and possibly intellectual response, reduce your argument and your standing to just peddling insults and all the personal stuff.

That seems to have been the drift of your last 2/3 postings. It's neither appreciated nor admired. Stick to the point or give up.
