We can but speculate but IF he wants to come, and IF he wants to take a pay cut, and not sign for Celtic, presumably any fee would be small, so why not? at 32 he''s not much older than Huckerby, great at holding up the ball for others to feed off, can cover in defence, could be an asset for years to come as part of the coaching set up etc etc etc. OK I can see why not Robbie Fowler, but for a local player to come back with an eye to the future I see no reason why he wouldn''t play with total commitment. Maybe just one of those smoke screens? I am of course assuming that Ashtons departure is as good as a done deal, which I happen to think it probably is.Any thoughts?
