Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,618 Posted July 13, 2019 Either Onel was cheating on that steppy ladder thing or his agility/acceleration is incredible. And nice to see Ralf actually catch a ball.
wcorkcanary 4,784 Posted July 13, 2019 And, Wass gorn on with Mo Leitners shorts? did they have to find him a pair from the 80s ? Did Maradonna give them to him? Thought Idah was pretty nifty on the ladders too, especially for such a big lad, quick feet!!

I’m looking forward to seeing him get some game time (Idah, not Mo’s shorts).

CirclePoint 208 Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) Honestly? Yes, they are demonstrating very good kinesthetic ability, but look closer. They look lazy on finishing the drills. All of them are running the drills with their heads down and their arms! Good lord the tension in their arms! Just look at the shape of some of their hands and the angles in their elbows. Yes they have speed and agility, but they need to improve on relaxing the upper body and coordinating it with the leg movements. At those speeds, they should be working the ladder drills with the four step rule; head up for four steps, head down for four steps. The problem becomes that under the pressures of a game, players recall their training. If they train their footwork with their head constantly looking down, that is how they will play when fighting for, or protecting a ball at their feet. Observations from a single video clip obviously do not offer a full understanding, but they are telling, to a certain degree. Mr.Carrow 394 Posted July 14, 2019 Someone should put the ladder drill segment to music! Love how the club keep the fans constantly connected to what's going on. Using social media in the best ways
