AJ 1,218 Posted July 15, 2019 I really liked Crouch as a player, and still do as a person. I can never understand why we didn’t do more to sign him at the time. I can also never understand why he was so underused/undervalued in the England squad, his record is pronominal at international level and he certainly should have played more. 11 goals in 12 games in 2006 then sadly reduced to a bit-part player from then. He could give our floodlight lenses a wipe without having to ascend those scary ladders to the floodlight platforms....... Joking apart, I liked Peter Crouch as a player and he was a model professional - and I wish him success in the dizzy heights in whatever or wherever his future career path takes.....
