Mixed thoughts really. I’m not sure on the collar at all, I hope it grows on me...

In that case you should buy a size or two too small otherwise it'll end up too big.

I've never really gone for this 'glam rock' approach to a football kit but it's been the norm for so long now that it has to be accepted and evaluated for what it is. At least it's fallen short of going all Jamie Cureton with the players required to have their hair suitably dyed in the  colours, with the sponsors logo skilfully shaved at the back.

That some see it as a fashion item is beyond me, but I've worn much worse in my time.

This one's not so bad. I like the blend of green for the shirts and shorts and feel it will show up nicely on the small screen.

The collar is awful and looks like something you'd put around a dog's neck to deter fleas, but as it still falls far short of something that Gary Glitter might have been seen in is something I suppose.

The blend of pop culture and sport is fine in a day when commercialism rules the roost and pantomimes are not just for Christmas and at least our colours will always distinguish us from the host of teams playing in either blue or red.

Bah humbug!

I like it. Not the best kit we've ever had granted, but certainly better than the terrible, terrible dross we had from 05/06 until 17/18.

Agreed with everyone about the weird collar, not too sure what that's all about, but I'm a big fan of the darker green and the fade effect thing they've got going on.

Really hoping our away kit is the same but white with that dark green fade. 🤞

My first thought was "nice". Not great but nice. I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to kit but that is my problem and not the marketing people.

Looking forward to seeing the variations for ii and iii.

I think it looks good from a design point of view, but I am concerned about visibility for the players on the pitch. There is less yellow than previously and it is generally more subtle because of the gradient at the bottom of the shirt. I hope sufficient thought has been put into how well the players see each other.

I said on t'other thread , a huge influence on this from Germany.  Reminiscent of BVB kits of old.  Also agree that brighter yellow is more Norwich.  Not my cup of tea, bit of a traditionalist and prefer simple yellow top.  Will probably defer to 2nd strip again unless they **** that up!

Firstly, the green looks darker than it is due to photoshopping.

On the player images it looks Teutonic and European.

It seems to me this is a kit rather than a shirt alone. To be worn holistically. We are seriously into brand image now and I applaud the efforts to make our players look distinctive. It has a big club feel.

For the fans in denims with the chins spilling over the fancy collar and the graduated dots stretching over the gut it won't look as good.

Personally, I'd prefer to wear the training top.

But from the emotional video to the logo blending our well run Club deserves huge credit. It made me proud.

Agree that the training top is a better item to wear as a single item.  However let's see what 2nd strip looks like and that it is less fussy.

Looks good as an entire kit , with the green bottom of the shirt blending into the green shorts.....just think it doesnt look quite right if the shirt is worn as a stand alone with a different coloured garment i.e a pair of jeans.

....Spurs and Man Utd encountered this last season where their shirts were clearly designed to match with their home shorts, but when they changed the colour of the shorts for a particular match, it just looked odd.

....one of the best kits we've had for a number of years for the players on the pitch.....possibly one of the least aesthetically for a fan as a 'casual' item (unless youre a full kit w###er) to wear with jeans or shorts.

....guess it depends on which is considered the most important??

South of the border, some wag started a thread slagging off the new kit, only to find that the others were far less critical.

Yep you nailed it.  The designers want us all to be Full Kit W&nkers!  Not buying it.

Go and stand over there with the other No Kit w&nkers.

To be fair all the sizes come up pretty small.  It will inevitably lead to a lazy Sun/Fail article in due course about lack of fitness and football supporters, and how we’re all a bunch of fatties.

Just popped on there to take a look and noticed that the "wag" was that twelve years old who often likes to take a poke at our club.

They consistently berate our unique yellow and green combination despite the fact that their club, along with a multitude of others are commonly known as the "blues."

Ask any football supporter to name the team that plays in yellow and green and they would instantly know Norwich City. Ask them to name the teams who play in blue and Ipswich Town would be way down the list, somewhere below Wigan and just above Rochdale no doubt.

Although they probably didn't foresee it at the time those who instigated our colour combination came up with a commercial masterpiece. Instantly recognizable, marketable, different and easy to relate to.

To think that in a few weeks time these colours are to be exposed to a 'billion' worldwide viewers whilst playing at the hallowed shrine that is Anfield. Should add a few more to the yellow and green brigade at least.

At about the same time the "blues" are to play at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium, though I doubt if any of the 6, 000 there will mistake them for Everton.

Bit harsh on Rochdale, Broady.

It becomes an alphabetical thing when down at that level as nobody really cares.

Only concerns re kit is the large amount of green when in the past green has eclipsed yellow we have been relegated, hope not an omen

Looks a lot lighter in colour here.

Out of interest, anyone bother with these ‘player fit’ shirts?

Must be selling fairly well as some of the sizes are sold out already (standard and ‘player fit’)

Yes I agree with you there Pete. Hopefully we’ll break that association this time. Another issue is a quote in the Pinkun which was something like “which we will wear at home games”. I’d be pretty annoyed if the team runs out at Anfield in a change strip.....

I liked the Flybe one in 06/07, last home shirt I bought.

Have to say that I did really like the home kit based on the official photos. The slightly lighter “reality” I’m not quite so keen about, although still looks decent.

What is a "player fit" shirt?

I'd imagine it's designed to fit professional athletes rather than 'pub athletes' like myself.
