They might make a casual like me have a flutter. Do they make problem gamblers gamble more or are they already gambling?

If they are addicted then they are already gambling, the ads won’t matter. If they know they have a problem and want to face it they can self exclude themselves but obviously that won’t stop them going to a street bookie. The tv ads are likely targeting the casual gambler to have a punt on the match they are watching

The world is full of gamblers, Bingo, Slot machines at the coast, National Lottery, Casino's, me personally I  have  lost a fortune on the Stock Market.

Greed is in all of us

There are thousands of items advertised on TV 99 percent of which I have never bought.

Indeed.

Tena Lady has never once been on my shopping list. Neither for that matter has Tena for Men but in recent years the latter has become an increasingly attractive proposition....🙂

But is that because of the inevitable results of aging, or your position on issues on this forum???

What a great opportunity for the keyboard SJWs to virtue signal.

Many have taken the chance to showcase their moral superiority.

Virtue signalling will eventually become passé once people realise that those who do it are doing so for somewhat narcissistic motives i.e. to show the rest of us the enormity of their moral superiority.

But until then feel free to cut loose on the evils of gambling or whatever else it happens to be.

In the old days virtue was silent. It was made up of deeds not words.

Somewhat different to this nasty and rather vain modern habit of being so easily offended in order to claim the moral high ground.
