Virtue signalling will eventually become passé once people realise that those who do it are doing so for somewhat narcissistic motives i.e. to show the rest of us the enormity of their moral superiority. But until then feel free to cut loose on the evils of gambling or whatever else it happens to be. In the old days virtue was silent. It was made up of deeds not words. Somewhat different to this nasty and rather vain modern habit of being so easily offended in order to claim the moral high ground.
