lucky green trainers 0 Posted January 7, 2006 re deano.on radio norfolk, worthy said he didn''t want deano to go, the board doesn''t want deano to go, and that it would take a crazy offer to sign him.he didn''t say if deano wanted to stay though..
Branston Pickle 3,257 Posted January 7, 2006 He clearly said no bids had been received - this of course doesn''t mean none will be received, but it does go to show in this day and age how things can go into meltdown - him and the whole club''s ambition and so on, called into question - all from a rumour.Interestingly, that potentially nasty injury meant no mention of Greeno''s possible move - and I for one think he is a more likely candidate to go anywhere than Ashton is. Hopefully his injury is not too bad, soundsl like the trip to hospital is more precautionary than anything.
Web Team - Vince 0 Posted January 7, 2006 Worthy''s "could be out for 5 days, could be out for 10 days" line on Ashton surely can only lead to increased speculation that he''s off, and certainly up for sale? Potentially misses one, maybe two, games - preventing him from picking up a more serious injury.Any big offers needs to come in before mid-month - there''s no point getting £8m-£10m to strength the squad much later because then you''ll be left with what''s in the shops just as they are closing (cue panic buying). DanielHammond 0 Posted January 7, 2006 Why doesnt Ashton come out and say that he wants to stay! If he is staying it would put the fans confidence in him!
LinkNR9 0 Posted January 7, 2006 Yes, Trainers, that was my first thought when I heard Worthington''s remarks.
