lucky green trainers 0 Posted December 23, 2005 Hucks was saying on radio broadland that 4 games in 8 days is crazy. with squad down to ''bare bones,'' and a set of tough looking fixtures, city can''t afford to get any injuries/flu victims in the team or rest anybody properly. With snow forecast for wednesday night, would it be in city''s best interest if the undersoil heating ''failed'' and the match postponed giving us extra time to face leics away and then preston at home? The Duke of Norfolk 0 Posted December 24, 2005 No, don''t be so silly. The Burnley game is one of the highlights of the festive period and to cancel it would be very dissapointing for many fans.
Huddy 0 Posted December 24, 2005 we are down to bare bones, but no ithink its still a great chance to pick up another 3 points and so we need it to be played. Burnley at home are the sought of games we shoul and can win.I also believe we need to make the most of the games at the moment, because it isunclear whether or not we will have him much longer. We have no star players out at the moment and a team with ashton is more likely to beat burnley than a team without that includes peter thorne!
huck tastic
Bryan Hamilton could turn this around...
0 Posted December 24, 2005 No, no,no, no, no...4 games in 8 days is great!Football is for the entertainment of the supporters, nothing else...I could nt care less about whether or not Graeme Souness and co can''t get their best 11 out, or whether the ridiculously overpaid primadonnas get a bit tired by the end of it, or cant perform to their absolute pinnacle of perfection because they are a bit fatigued/stressed/emotional/hungover (delete as applicable) So long as its the same for everyone, and its entertaining...Besides, maybe someone will even be able to beat Chelsea if they had to play every single day...And perhaps Sunderland will get another point? (Making 6 by the way...HoHoHo)
still holding out for new heroes 0 Posted December 24, 2005 only a girl, muppet or Sven would want football cancelled over Christmas....its whats Christmas is for....I say go back to the old days when you played your local rivals on Christmas day and then the return leg on boxing day..... lucky green trainers 0 Posted December 24, 2005 logic suggests that playing 4 times in 8 days will produce some dross games, and as huck tastic suggests some odd results, starting with an upset at bramell lane as city blunt the blades.if city''s game is off against burney, this will surely give us an advantage against the teams we play after?is anybody going to all city''s 4 games by the way?
