It seems strange to me that this has been released on the day that Norwich normally have off, which normally means that he (or the club) has contacted the press.Anyway, "Skipper pleased that ugly football is on agenda again" Wonder why that is, is it because he cant actually play any other sort of football ? Granted you need to be able to stick your foot in hard sometimes, but this is just another prime example of how bad we have become and the over use of cloggers.Two seasons ago we had the quality to pass through, around and over the opposition, we hardly picked up any cards, didnt get any suspensions for five cards or a ban for being sent off. Were the opposition not as physically tough then ? Absolutely not. The fact is, as a team, a squad, we were far better then, and we didnt have the luxury of any parachute payments either. But, in fairness, I do also remember people moaning and saying that our inability to ''play it rough'' when necessary and that we had smaller players etc was one of the reasons we couldn''t compete in the Premiership. still holding out for new heroes 0 Posted December 14, 2005 but that was then this is now...Ive felt since minute one this season that Worthy was over playing the physical nature of this league (both with his comments and signings) as opposed to the fact that its often the teams with that extra bit of flair that actually go on to do the business, be it ourselves Wigan and Reading this season...a bit of balance in central midfield would be nice, no problem having a ball winner there but wheres the player who can pick out the pass or through ball....
