kick it off 1,948 Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) Just wondering if we might dip back in for Bielik or Bochniewicz this summer - both are currently shining for Poland at the Euro U21 championships. Bielik scored in both group games (Poland just beat hosts Italy 1-0 thanks to his reaction volley). I know Bielik link was a couple of years ago but he is really looking quality - albeit in midfield now where we're already well equipped. Bochniewicz who we were linked with in April has also had an excellent tournament so far. 6'4 and a real unit - would be ideal 4th CB if Hanley does depart. A side note - Grabara, the keeper is unbelievable. Liverpool signed him a few years back for 250k but if we're looking to bring in legitimate competition for Krul, on the cheap but genuine quality competition then a loan may suit all parties here. Very much a well-rounded sweeper keeper and a phenomenal talent. Went on loan to Aarhus in Denmark for second half of last season but was training with Liverpool's first team squad before that and got on the bench a few times in the cup. Will be a top, top keeper in time. Edited June 19, 2019 by kick it off
Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,557 Posted June 19, 2019 Bielik is fantastic, but not sure he is someone Norwich really need now that Godfrey has emerged. Certainly not at the kind of money that would be needed to sign him. Arsenal probably won’t want to sell him either as their defenders are mostly awful and there is a chance he’ll get in the team. Also can’t see Udinese letting Bochniewicz go on the cheap and Norwich aren’t going to spend on a 4th choice centreback. They are good players but not where Norwich need to commit large sums of money. (Doubt any of them will be loaned to somewhere that can’t guarantee them football).
