lucky green trainers 0 Posted December 15, 2005 soton were the worst team we played last year - andits essentially the same team. True, they''ve tightened up since, got kents playing centre half and he looked good sunday, Delap issuspended, jones up front is big and strong, but first touch and endproduct is woeful, - walcott is their main threat, which theydidn''t have last year - but he''ll be off his game with arsenal/chelsea£8m transfer spec around his neck. Hopefully wise and bassett (asthe old school boy chairmen calls them) have juiced their players offthis week with their cockney ''larger than life'' double act or bybeating them at cards..............that means city wins 2-
ZLF 271 Posted December 15, 2005 Soton have only lost three times this season, are very successful in killing off teams in the bottom half of the table and we are good one week poor the next and abysmal the week after before improving again.Any result is likely but I will plump for the soton draw specialists making this draw number 14 for the season - 1-1. Tumbleweed 106 Posted December 15, 2005 Dave Bassett will have them fired up like you won''t believe. he wants the managers job and is a good tough, experienced man. His teams run and tackle and close down like terriers, even more so with Dennis Wise if he plays. I reckon we will have trouble breaking them down, our defence is still suspect and therefore I forecast a Soton win by one goal.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted December 15, 2005 I can see a high scoring draw and a cracking game in prospect so expect 0-0.

Bertie Bassett is screaming for the job ( i hope and pray he don''t get it) but he has a point to prove. We are solid all round so a high scoring game is something that wont be acheived. I do however beleive, it has a draw written all over it.
ZLF 271 Posted December 15, 2005 Welcome St David - what is the overall view onthe recent shenanigins - good to see the back of ''Arry and who do you want in the role as Bassett is clearly not your man? Fancy Worthington?[;)]OTBC
