The Anc begins about 20 Jan, if Morocco fail to progress to 1/4''s and below he will be back early Feb and possibly miss 2 League games and FA Cup Tie (WHU at H therefore 4th Round not a problem.

Morocco should get to 1/4''s not further likely Saf will miss few games.

I asked because I vaguely remember reading something from either Safri or Worthington questioning whether Safri would be a definate ANC participant...
Alas I cannot recall much more than it being not quite as cut and dried as had been/has been assumed.
I''d imagine he will go, but what if he picks up a short-term injury before leaving..? Not totally implausible...

if he picks up an injury i imagine we will have a repeat of the tunisia WC qual. with saffers not being fit to play but the Morocco medical team deeming him fit and able

Thing is though if he is deemed unfit to join the squad after being selected at the start, and then recovers he is (as far as I''m aware) unable to play for us until the time he would have come back anyway!

I think Anderz is referring to a change in management at Morocco after

failing to qualify for the World Cup. There was a question as to

whether a new manager would stick with the same players. That said,

Safri was included in the preliminary squad announced last week.

yes i believe, if he cannot go because he is injured, he cannot play for us during their ANC campaign. i should imagine he''ll go, they wont get far, and he''ll be back before you know it.
