Is Jarret first City player to go loan in living memory

Recommended Posts

Please inform me otherwise.

If so another nail in the Worthy coffin that is good

management.  He certainly exploits the loan market in attracting

players but letting City Players go into the lower leagues has not been

an option.  Perhaps because now we have such a small squad its not

possible.

But the likes of Jarvis, Hendo and some of our younger proteges may

just have benefitted from some playing time for lesser lights,

contracts up at the end of the season and we are almost in the dark

about what Ryan Jarvis may have acieved.  Rossi J also a silimilar

situation.

Ryan J and Danny Crowe have spent time on loan in the last year, as has Gallagher - but struggling to recall anyone else.

With a small squad its not a surprise players are not loaned out but agree the younger players and shacks previously would have benefitted from this  -  Rossi now seems a perfect candidate, and probably Simon Charlton as he is so far off the radar.

Thats the only two i can recall too ZLF, but dont forget Shacks was about to go to Barnsley when he hurt his ankle in that reserve game.

I totally agree that we get our youth to a certain stage and then they stagnate - they need loans to get games under their belts to be able to hold their own at the first team level. Again, we have to blame injuries a bit for this and the fact that our squad is so small. But remember it was Worthy that chopped our squad down even though it was not big enough for the Prem last season, and that was with one game a week.

Not quite the same thing, I concede, but he has also "bought out" the

contracts of one or two players, including some he himself had signed!
