DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted December 7, 2005 Sound familiar?"It is no use trying to cover over it, we were poor""The attitude has to change. We''ve had a discussion in the dressing room and one of the players has said we don''t have enough people who want to win.""Players have got to be hungry and want to win enough. It is about players. We can coach, we can motivate, we can encourage but the players have to have the attitude, the character, real desire and a will to win. These are vital in players and we don''t have that at the minute.""Yet again we didn''t take our chances""The bottom line is that we have to stand up and be counted and at the moment its simply not good enough. Yet again we''ve conceded goals from set pieces ... There is that and plenty more to work at on the training ground."Who do you reckon said this?

DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted December 8, 2005
Er, not the mightly Brian Hamilton just before..........
And we have a winner!! Many congratulations Gazza. I was looking at the couple of weeks/days before Bryan Hamilton was sacked. These were the excuses he gave after losing to Burnley (23/11/00) and Pompey (03/12/00). Now I can''t be bothered to look through our recent post match anyalysis, but doesn''t anyone think it''s worrying that Nigel Worthington''s excuses are (almost word for word) exactly the same as that our worst manager in history?
