He can run, tackle, cover ground and defend but give him the ball and he's a liability. Still love him. He's 33 now and has had a few injury problems. In the past, then yeah, he had the legs, but I'm not convinced he can match the younger, all-action defensive midfielders that most Premier League sides have nowadays. He was playing well last season, got injured and could never find his way back into the team. Despite his obvious quality, are we about to see history repeat itself?
