StillĀ another import post !

Think you should be listening to Cummings, you will need to save your rubbish to try and defend what the government did with COVID. He walked away with government documents and has all his whatā€™s app have been kept.

Cummings tells an extraordinary story.Ā

He says on the morning of 12 March, the "national security people came in" and said "Trump wants us to join a bombing campaign in the Middle East tonight".

He says this "totally derailed" meetings on coronavirus and household quarantines.Ā

He says, at the same time, "the prime minister's girlfriend was going completely crackers" over having the No 10 press office deal with stories in the press about the Downing Street dog.

Part of the building was talking about bombing Iraq, part was talking about household restrictions, and "the prime minister's girlfriend was going completely crackers about something trivial," he states.

You cited zero sources, sorry no cigar.

There were none in Swindons OP.Ā  I spent time researching the points and answered them with facts.

It just another pack of lies just like Cummings has asserted.

Thing is, when a Labour PM lies, like Blair did, we hammer and criticise him. But not you Tories, close ranks, lash out and lie to protect lies.

utterly ignorant as usual.Ā The establishment of global standards for minimal corporate taxation would be a massive step in ensuring that multinational corporationsĀ stop exploiting the resources of individual countries for their own private gain at the expense of their people. As it stands the likes of Amazon get to exploit aĀ well educatedĀ and well cared for workforce,Ā without contributing anything to the taxpayer funding essential to maintaining thatĀ workforce. Only an idiot and anti-patriot would want to turn the UK into a tax haven for billionaire corporate exploiters of its citizens. The fact that this Tory government isĀ the only government out of the G7 to object to acting against this exploitation merely indicates their contempt for the people of this country.

It is also painfully ignorant to think the UK could set itself up as some shoddy tax-evading island and expect other countries not to respond with measures to mitigate against such an act. The concept of a "level playing field" is always fundamental to the possibility of negotiating free trade deals, so one can kiss goodbye to any such prospect if oneĀ seeks to undercut other countries in this way. Indeed, any school-child student of economics knows that the impostition of tariffs isĀ precisely the sort of mechanism guaranteed to occur in such circumstances.Ā

You've never done an honest days work in your life living off the tax payers' expense, so you are hardly one to talk.

The US Treasury is socialist organization.Ā Well thatā€™s a new one. SomeoneĀ should tell the world banking community.Ā

p.s taxes are paid on profits, not losses. Nobody is moving their business toĀ the UK to lose money, irrespective of the effective tax rate. And lower corporate taxes only means lower pensions, NHS cuts, defense cuts. Iā€™m sure you are just fine with all of that though..... we tried this in Texas v coastal states, didnā€™t work out to well - surprise!Ā

The US Democrat President is a socialist. Lower corporate taxes means more businesses coming to the UK, paying tax here that they didn't before, meaning higher pensions, more for the NHS, more for defence and more jobs. Just ask Ireland. And we will be taking business away from Ireland.

Nissan plans huge Sunderland battery factory in coup for Brexit Britain

Nissan considers gigafactory at its UK plant after hailing Brexit as a 'positive' while local leaders attempt to woo Elon Musk

Nissan is in advanced talks to build an electric car battery gigafactory at its plant in SunderlandĀ in what would be a major coup for the UK's post-Brexit car industry.

The Japanese company is understood be negotiating with ministersĀ to secure support for the plan,Ā which would make the site Nissanā€™s biggest electrified car operation outside its home nation and putĀ Britain at the heart of itsĀ global efforts to shift away from fossil fuel.

IfĀ the move goes ahead, it would be a huge vote of confidence in UKĀ manufacturing after years of warnings that the country's exit from the European Union could trigger an exodus of major companies.

TheĀ investment would also mark a significant change of tack for Nissan, which claimed before a Brexit deal was struck that it could wind down UK operations if trade conditions such as tariffs on cars made production here uncompetitive.

The North East could become a centre for electric vehicles as Sunderland seeks to lure investment from Tesla boss Elon Musk. AĀ clutch of ā€˜Red Wallā€™ MPs joinedĀ Tees Valley Mayor bid to lureĀ Tesla to the North East by signing a joint letter to the billionaire thisĀ week.

No doubt I've paid a lot more tax than you thicko,Ā Ā and am happy to do so. But interesting to see you haven't got an actual response to the fact I pointed out your painfulĀ ignorance over the economic issues.

RTB likes to pretend. He wouldn't know what to say if he didn't read it somewhere.

By the way, anyone seen Jools? He does find the most poignant moments to disappear.

Certainly need battery manufacturing capacity on a large scale, hopefully this will be delivered. There was the Tesla story last week, not heard much about that since.

Still very early days on the Telsa story. As well as Sunderland I've seen Wales have pitched for the Telsa factory to be sited in Brigend.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will still owe the UK billions of pounds for decades, as indicated by the institutionā€™s chief Alexander Stubb.Ā

He outlined in 2017 that the debt will be paid back over decades, and may not be fully settled until 2054 !

The sum of the debt is Ā£3.1billion.
