Boris talked about an open border the EU are stopping that

The EU is “fully committed in a constructive way to find solutions for those problems,” Vale de Almeida said. But he added that it had to be “within the limits of the protocol that we have agreed not long ago.”

Vale de Almeida stated that the EU was open to making the protocol “more flexible,”

Only you could quote something that proves your own claims to be false.

Which they have a perfect right to do as this is the deal that the UK signed up to. This has been entirely caused by the UK excluding itself from the single market and refusing to match EU quality standards. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

TELL ME WHY THAT'S A LIE

"Northern Ireland’s justice minister has said the government’s “dishonesty” over the consequences of hard Brexit has contributed to the anger felt by loyalists

In a swipe at both Boris Johnson, who claimed there would be no checks on goods crossing the Irish Sea, and the Northern Ireland secretary, Brandon Lewis, who said no border would be erected following Brexit

“They promised people unfettered access, which is not the case. And they denied the existence of borders, even as those borders were being erected. I think that that dishonesty, and the lack of clarity around these issues has contributed to a sense of anger in parts of our community.”

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/apr/07/northern-ireland-dishonesty-over-brexit-fuelled-loyalist-anger-says-stormont-minister

Customs checks are part of the UK no longer being part of the EU. All the EU is doing is ensuring that the UK sticks to the agreement.

What would be your view if it was the EU breaking the agreed rules ?

OPEN BORDERS

Yes that's exactly what we had before brexit. You and others of your ilk voted for a hard brexit and therefore voted for the requirement of a customs border between the UK and EU. As has been ponted out ad nauseum, that border either had to be on the geographic border between Ireland and NI or in the Irish sea. This is entirely a problem created by brexit. You got what you voted for.

So what on earth do you mean by "open borders". And how about responding to the complaint from the NI justice minister who says the government have lied to them.

nope, that's you lying again

Johnson stated that there would be no border and no checks between GB and NI

that is what you voted for

now that there is, there is trouble in NI, and huge disruption

you voted for it at the last GE so stop keep lying and accept that actions have consequences, as do lies

And how many times have you been told:

1. WE signed up to the deal containing the NI Protocol

2. To breach it would involve breaking international law

3. To breach it would destroy the Good Friday Agreement

4. To breach it would make relations with the EU even worse than they are already (I know it's hard to believe they could get worse) and make trading even more difficult than it is (ditto).

Good little thread for Swindo and the Brexiters to peruse. Sadly, as much as these pathetic clowns like to rewrite history, so much of it has been recorded.

Something else for SC to not read.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56666000

"He also warned that the bank is likely to move people out of London and to Europe due to Brexit.

He said Europe "has had, and will continue to have, the upper hand" in Brexit negotiations.

How many move out of the UK depends on still unresolved questions in those talks about how financial services will operate, he said.

"We may reach a tipping point many years out when it may make sense to move all functions that service Europe out of the United Kingdom and into continental Europe," Mr Dimon said.

In the letter, he warned that the split from Europe will hurt the UK's economic prospects in the years ahead."

Talking of lies you told us that EU were making up stories about AZ and clots. You described them as low life’s for doing what we are now doing. Oh well.
