Tony Abbott ~ "Both Britain and Australia are keen to do a deal before Christmas"  👍

Sad isn't it - when your former colony tells you can have a trade deal as long as .... still waiting for the details, but it sounds like "screw your green economy goals, no environmental protections allowed" - agreed?

Obviously a deliberate trick from those duplicitous EU unelected bureaucrats. 😀

the carnage is already upon us

"People may struggle to get their Christmas orders delivered in time this year, with a haulage boss warning that chaos at Britain's biggest port is "getting worse" and will lead to a "very challenging" festive season.

Pre-Brexit stockpiling, coronavirus, and a backlog of around 11,000 containers of PPE at Felixstowe port in Suffolk have been blamed for creating long delays and preventing retailers from receiving stock in the run-up to Christmas."

https://news.sky.com/story/christmas-orders-may-not-arrive-on-time-as-covid-and-brexit-stockpiling-cripple-major-uk-port-12134655

And this before the 4 million extra forms per week, or the chaos of the Kent Access Permit comes into force. No wonder the UK has already pushed the customs checks on EU goods back another 6 months.

"A major supplier of customs software has raised doubts about whether the system for dealing with trade between Northern Ireland and Great Britain will work properly in January.

The Brexit deal means customs declarations will be needed for GB-NI trade. Agency Sector Management has warned that "the spectre of paralysing the whole of NI's trade movements is real".

I don't remember brexiteers telling us that there would be an EU border in UK sovereign waters, or that the EU could tell the UK where it’s lorries could travel t either.

Please reconcile these two posts 🙂

We will get a deal, even if it's very, very late in the day, the later it goes the better it will be for us.

You really need to get some psychiatric help from the NHS while it is still free.

And just why do we need to be the foremost naval power in Europe? Just what is supposed to be the advantage of this?

Try answering the questions. Why do we need to be the greatest naval power in Europe? Just what do we gain from this enormous expenditure when we are trillions in debt?
