agree, apart for the 'works very well in normal times, IMO',  It allows all sorts of criminals to travel around Europe

Oh do me a favor and put a plug in the stupidity Swindon. You'll want a hard border between England and Scotland next.

Back on Brexit. Do you claim that the voters confirmed their desire to enable a hard no-deal Brexit?

Have a look at all the EU people who have committed crimes, if you think it's stupid. and that's up till 2010 !

In 2018/19 the number of overall crime offences in the United Kingdom reached approximately 6.3 million
Thats over 120,000 per week Swindon. Your 500 per week would be 0.4% of that. So one in 200 crimes.

Anyway about that hard Brexit : are you in favour of that? Is that what the UK electorate voted for?

I'd be happy with any reduction in the crime figures. The Electorate voted to leave the EU ( Are you in favour of that ?)   If we end up with a hard Brexit, it will be the EU's fault. All we are asking is a deal that has no ties to the EU.

I was not, but the electorate did narrowly vote for it and then in the GE gave the Conservatives a large majority who's leader campaigned on "Get Brexit Done" . So Brexit itself is a done deal, but there are two parts to it : the political alignment and the economic alignment. From the beginning the promise was to maintain economic alignment i.e "frictionless trade" and now that seems to be going out the window as well.

So are you in favour of a hard-Brexit is the question..?

All the remainers, All the remainers, so many remainers on this board !

We beat the binners in the play off semis - that I am a City fan does not change that being a fact.

What you should wonder is why no other brexiteers are agreeing with you, perhaps because they know you are lying.

As to the UK leaving, then the reasons you liars gave have not been implemented. In fact the UK is still paying without having a say, and as far as borders go there is now to be an EU monitored border IN UK sovereign territory.

Likewise agreeing to a deal that Johnson is now trying to weasel out of is not what you lot wanted.. And at the moment it is looking very likely that the transition period will be extended ...................again. On the basis of what you halfwits were told, cannot be delivered

The degree of stupidity does not diminish.

The UK agreed a deal - as they now want to renege on it.......it is the EU's fault !

You want a trade deal with the EU that doesn't involve having ties to the EU? If that means anything at all then that means you want a Hard Brexit. The way to avoid a Hard Brexit is by having a trade deal that does include continuing ties with the EU. This was explained right from the outset.

We want a free trade deal ! no payments

as was explained here and elsewhere

so heads you lose, tails you lose 🤣

which would mean the UK becomes another country - which the EU can refuse entry to certain goods and add tarrifs as they see fit - $5%  to UK lamb

however as the UK will be trading under WTO rules it cannot do likewise as it would have to implement the same tarrifs to every other country around the world

that's why this nonsense has stalled

rather like in the scene in Blazing Saddles where the sheriff holds a gun to his own head - only in this case the crowd has reacted by ; telling him to carry out his threat'

rather fcked to put it bluntly

FFS. That means you can't sell to the EU.

And they're not predictions.

Wait and see ! You've already proved you are not too good with predictions.

There is no 'wait and see' as they are the rules

That's why the UK is in limbo, paying for something it does not have a say on and now has the EU imposing it's own border between Britain and NI

Now why not tell us what benefits have been accrued since Jan 31st

We are out !

so none, apart from the EU will be running a border within the UK

hand over control - I cannot remember that slogan

At first, not much.

An 12-month transition period has begun and the UK will largely stick to EU rules. Except for the car company's putting their faith in Britain.

or

during the transition period everything stays as it were - except te UK no longer has a say in any decisions made

on July 1st the UK has the option of asking for an extension of that transition period

as nothing has been agreed since Jan 31st, because the UK now wants to rat on the deal it agreed, there will not be the time needed for preparing the UK to finally leave without a deal

the action by Nissan is one that suggests the UK will concede, as by leaving the tariffs that come into force will make car assembly in the UK commercially unviable

so why not explain where the 50,000 plus customs officials required are to come from (EU ?), who will be paying for them and all the other necessary infrastructure that will supposedly be constructed within a few months

It will never happen, and you know why.

We were told that in Oct 2019, so the onus is on you to explain how the UK can build the infrastructure and hire the huge numbers, never mind the software in less than six months

and as to 'it not happening' what about the claim that there would be no border down the Irish Sea, as whatever deal happens that will become a reality...... supervised by the EU 🤣

By 1.30m the lies and misinformation had stacked up to render whatever came next worthless

the comments about levels of food 'poisoning were blatant lies, as a cursory check would show

and it is a measure of your stupidity mouse brain that you did not bother to check before posting up this nonsense

similarly it is a measure of IDS s lack of argument that he has to lie

so feel free to read what those in the US think about their filthy food that morons like you want to eat

Didn't I write long ago that's where the border should go 😉

so you are now telling us that the EU should control a border within UK sovereign territory

perhaps you could remind us when that was a Leave policy

and in February you posted this

"For Northern Ireland to leave the EU customs union while Southern Ireland remains part of it. It stipulates that there is no hard border or border infrastructure on the Island of Ireland.

Given that there is no mechanism therefore for the EU to collect tariffs on goods crossing from north to south, the EU really now have no choice but to agree a Free trade deal since they cannot collect the tariffs on goods moving north to south.

It is simply not possible to have two customs territories that border each other and impose tariffs on the movement of goods between them without the means to collect the tariffs."

do you actually understand what you post - as you have a habit of posting up stuff that contradicts what you claim ?
