£1bn UK-India trade deals will create 6,000 UK jobs, says PM - BBC News

Well at lease you didn't say the EU had a better deal   🙂

Oh dear! you're back with your usual inability to get things right:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/india-trade-deal-brexit-johnson-eu-b1841373.html

Brexit: EU steals march in race for India trade deal as Johnson announces ‘enhanced partnership’

Brussels and Delhi tipped to open talks on free trade agreement within days – while UK admits ‘shared intent to begin work’ only.

So, clearly the UK are behind the EU in India's priorities for a free trade deal. Who can blame them when you consider the difference in the size of the markets on offer. Anyone listening to Liz Truss' pathetic efforts on radio 4 this morning shouldn't get their hopes too high for the autumn. In particular those brexiteers who voted out to keep the "damn" immigrants out have much to fear. It is well known that the Indian government have made it very clear that any prospect for a deal depends fundamentally upon a massive increase in the number of Indian citizens having a right to emigrate to the UK. Truss clearly knows this will outrage her supporters so she ludicrously avoided mention of the "I" word and attempted to replace it with the hilarious euphemism, "mobility chapter". So, rather than admit that a FTA with India will involve an agreement to allow effective freedom of movement of Indian citizens to the UK, she prefers to talk instead of negotiating a "mobility chapter" as part of the deal. Just like the deals with Australia and Japan, any Indian deal will result in increased immigration into the UK of individuals from those countries (except in India's case the numbers will be far higher). Personally, this concerns me not a jot; however, I suspect many brexiteers will be somewhat suprised and upset to learn just how much immigration these post-brexit deals allow.

It's depressing  how easy it is to find this information. They just can't be bothered.

And? Is 27 nearly 40? Or is 32 nearly 40?

We have discussed Labours problems (on the right topic) for weeks so its not much of a shock.

You just don't get it do you? Growth from an absolutely sh*te position is pretty meaningless. How about you respond at last to the figures I posted some time ago about the 96% decline in sales to the EU suffered by the Dairy Industry, and the loss of £1.1 bn in sales in the 3 months since January.

They’re not negative for the sake of it. They’re what’s happening in the real world. Not everybody is a mindless fool like you who has been brainwashed by the Boris cult. You’re basically a sheep mate.

just pointing out that it's a positive Brexit thread,  as you had a go at me for putting up how poor Labour were.

You have been challenged many, many times to come up with the name of a UK company or industry that claims to have benefited from brexit. We have pointed out the thousands that flood the internet claiming to have lost out because of brexit. For example, you have still said nothing about the £1.1bn lost by the dairy industry since January. So, since you keep banging on about it, I'm looking forward to your "positive" list of companies that have said they have benefited from brexit

And you never mention how well the EU are doing  but I don't worry about it

Only a fool would not be worried when his country's main market for exports (circa 50%) is suffering losses because of decisions his own country made. The EU didn't choose brexit you buffoon. Are you really trying to claim that it's ok that brexit has seriously screwed up UK industry because it also screwed up the EU too? Is this some perverse variant on the normal "win-win" aim of a standard trade deal? Are we now pursuing a "lose-lose" strategy?

still not giving the EU any credit

Despite the fact you and Johnson told us how bad the EU vaccine roll out was going, ( which had nothing to do with Brexit ) neither of you seem to want to talk about it anymore ? Without telling Johnson’s do you have any reason for that ?

Thanks to brexit the Dutch seem to be doing nicely at the UK's expense:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jan/26/brexit-dutch-warehouse-boom-as-uk-firms-forced-to-invest-abroad

Logistics and warehousing companies in the Netherlands are being inundated with requests from British businesses looking to rent warehouse space, as the country experiences a Brexit boom in investment and jobs.

Thousands of small businesses have been plunged into crisis by the UK’s departure from the EU, with exports to the continent collapsing because of delays at ports, increased shipping costs, and the sudden addition of VAT, customs duties, and in some cases tariffs, on shipments sent from the UK to customers within the bloc.

An absolute killer': small UK firms struggle with Brexit VAT rules

Many have been left with no option but to invest in distribution networks within the EU, and the Dutch logistics industry is reaping the rewards.

The financial district also is suffering from Brexit, which ended the automatic right of banks to do business on the continent. More than 440 financial firms have moved some of their operations into the EU, resulting in about 7,400 job relocations and a 900 billion-pound ($1.2 trillion) shift of assets.

For God sake do stop this ridiculous Billy nonsense. It's plain to see that your playground name calling is a very poorly disguised attempt to distract from the fact you have no answer to the links I have provided. Just grow up you sad child.

This is b0ll0x. The Dutch are reaping the reward of French stupidity at Calais trying to make British exporters lives as difficult as possible. As a result companies are moving operations away from France to Holland. As was predicted a long time ago and as I said would happen if the French behaved like the idiots they are.

Correct. About 7000 jobs have moved. The project fear prediction was hundreds of thousands of jobs would move. Why were the predictions so wrong, can you tell us?
