TELL ME WHY THAT'S A LIE

"Northern Ireland’s justice minister has said the government’s “dishonesty” over the consequences of hard Brexit has contributed to the anger felt by loyalists

In a swipe at both Boris Johnson, who claimed there would be no checks on goods crossing the Irish Sea, and the Northern Ireland secretary, Brandon Lewis, who said no border would be erected following Brexit

“They promised people unfettered access, which is not the case. And they denied the existence of borders, even as those borders were being erected. I think that that dishonesty, and the lack of clarity around these issues has contributed to a sense of anger in parts of our community.”

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/apr/07/northern-ireland-dishonesty-over-brexit-fuelled-loyalist-anger-says-stormont-minister

Customs checks are part of the UK no longer being part of the EU. All the EU is doing is ensuring that the UK sticks to the agreement.

What would be your view if it was the EU breaking the agreed rules ?

OPEN BORDERS

Yes that's exactly what we had before brexit. You and others of your ilk voted for a hard brexit and therefore voted for the requirement of a customs border between the UK and EU. As has been ponted out ad nauseum, that border either had to be on the geographic border between Ireland and NI or in the Irish sea. This is entirely a problem created by brexit. You got what you voted for.

So what on earth do you mean by "open borders". And how about responding to the complaint from the NI justice minister who says the government have lied to them.

nope, that's you lying again

Johnson stated that there would be no border and no checks between GB and NI

that is what you voted for

now that there is, there is trouble in NI, and huge disruption

you voted for it at the last GE so stop keep lying and accept that actions have consequences, as do lies

And how many times have you been told:

1. WE signed up to the deal containing the NI Protocol

2. To breach it would involve breaking international law

3. To breach it would destroy the Good Friday Agreement

4. To breach it would make relations with the EU even worse than they are already (I know it's hard to believe they could get worse) and make trading even more difficult than it is (ditto).

Good little thread for Swindo and the Brexiters to peruse. Sadly, as much as these pathetic clowns like to rewrite history, so much of it has been recorded.

Something else for SC to not read.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56666000

"He also warned that the bank is likely to move people out of London and to Europe due to Brexit.

He said Europe "has had, and will continue to have, the upper hand" in Brexit negotiations.

How many move out of the UK depends on still unresolved questions in those talks about how financial services will operate, he said.

"We may reach a tipping point many years out when it may make sense to move all functions that service Europe out of the United Kingdom and into continental Europe," Mr Dimon said.

In the letter, he warned that the split from Europe will hurt the UK's economic prospects in the years ahead."

Talking of lies you told us that EU were making up stories about AZ and clots. You described them as low life’s for doing what we are now doing. Oh well.

In a swipe at both Boris Johnson, who claimed there would be checks on goods crossing the Irish Sea, and the Northern Ireland secretary, Brandon Lewis, who said no border would be erected following Brexit, she said the government knew Brexit would be “felt most acutely in Northern Ireland, where identity issues are tied up with border issues”.

She told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “Instead of trying to work through the issues legally, it opted to promote lawlessness by suspending the Northern Ireland protocol.

So now you're supporting the view that this is all down to Johnson's and the government's lies, and the idiocy of a hard brexit. Yet again you fail to provide a link but I'll do that for you:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/apr/07/northern-ireland-dishonesty-over-brexit-fuelled-loyalist-anger-says-stormont-minister

Perhaps you should also have included the following quote from that article to add more clarity:

"“Loyalist communities, in particular, clearly feel an immense sense of betrayal. The least Johnson can do is address those concerns,” the Foyle MP said adding it was a “defining characteristic” of the prime minister to have caused “maximum chaos and then steps away from the consequences” of the hard Brexit he negotiated."

Glad you have seen the light at last.

Do you think that they will apologise to the Europeans for showing a bit of caution and checking properly that what we are being given is safe?

Swindo lying again. No link to the quote, as he has doctored it

That he has lied should come as no surprise, he is a born liar

That he is too stupid to imagine that I would not spot how he had changed a quote I posted a few hours before should not come as a surprise either, he is a born thicko

this is what the fat, pssed fraud told NI, and GB

"Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned he would allow a post-Brexit border down the Irish Sea “over my dead body,” just days after pledging to help Northern Irish businesses cope with a new wave of customs red tape after the U.K. leaves the European Union."

13 August 2020, 18:56 BST

"The Northern Ireland border was Boris Johnson’s greatest Brexit “untruth”. He told the Taoiseach there would be no border in Ireland. He told Northern Ireland’s unionists there would be none in the Irish Sea. He told everyone he would leave Europe’s customs union. Johnson was, as the saying goes, “averse to the despotism of facts”.  Mon 8 Mar 2021 14.00 GMT

This is not going to ';go away' and will only escalate. Caused by not only Johnson blatant lying, but by any number of voters being stupid enough not to recognise than an habitual liar will always lie (see Farage)

"They're Irish, there have always been troubles" the Tories will do doubt soon be saying..... well ignoring the historical reasons why there were troubles in Northern Ireland in the first place, OK; but after years of violence a lot of hard work and multi-national co-operation those troubles were resolved. And now the Brexit that solves just what problems being experienced by whom exactly, is quite literally reigniting those troubles. And like Trump, the pour gasoline and light a match crowd will then run away and accept no responsibility for this.

Aye 👍   https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/WEO/Issues/2021/03/23/world-economic-outlook-april-2021

The UK is projected to grow by 5.3 per cent this year and 5.1 per cent in 2022, revising earlier projections up by 0.8 per cent. The Eurozone, by contrast, is merely expected to grow by 4.4 per cent this year and 3.8 per cent next year.

The economic outlook for the US under Sleepy is also expected to falter, declining from 6.4 per cent growth in 2021 down to 3.5 per cent during the second year of the Democrat presidency.

Not so much IMF projection as it is stating the bleedin' obvious really 🙃
