Not all Iwan, but a large proportion of them did. Immigration was the largest element of Brexit.

So why weren't the ethnic minorities supporting the pro-remain rallies? All I see is a group of entitled, middle class, white, champagne socialists. And I've looked through a lot of pro-remain videos and pictures. It's almost like they aren't representative of the whole country.

I believe we were told there would be hundreds of free trade deals ready to go as soon as we left the EU. We have been out a week now, are there any? No, of course not, it was just more leaver lies. More relevent are we in active trade negotiations with anyone at the moment. No again. So no trade deals and no trade negotiations, come on Leavers pull your fingers out we are waiting for anything you said was possible to happen, or give us a date for when it will happen. What are you waiting for?

I can't remember being told that !

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

I know you don't see what it has to do with anything, and that's the problem.

For all of far left's talk of inclusion they don't seem to be very inclusive. Far left politics is centered on stating that everyone has to think the same way they do, and if you don't you're a bigot. It's irony at Orwellian levels.

Middle class Champagne Socialists always talk about ethnic minorities but they don't actually know any.

So what you are saying is that because the majority of remain marchers were white and European, left, Liberal and Conservative, therefore means that immigration didn't play a massive part in Brexit.

I'm sorry but you are simply indulging in delusional whataboutery. Look at Farage's campaigns, look at vote Leave's campaigning, read the people that have liked your post and then come back and say that.

Maybe you are simply uncomfortable with the facts, that's fair enough, but you only have to look and read the opinions of the people on the same side as you to realise something stinks.

So you are equating all, or at least the active, remain supporters with being 'far left' in their politics???

That, if I may say so, is beyond ridiculous.

'Theresa May' who was willing to take a dive at the first chance !  Now Barnier is negotiating against someone who is actually prepared to say 'NO' & not lay down to each & every demand, it is a different proposition. With a comfortable majority, Boris could now leave with a No Deal. He is in the better position to get a good deal.

I think he is trying to make a "point".

He won't accept that the vast majority of brexiters and Trumpists are right wing so he is trying to equate all remainers as far left even though they come from the whole spectrum of political thought. Having been on a few of the marches I can guarantee that all the political parties were there.

Yes indeed, you would have thought it pretty obvious from the fact that for the last four years both the Tory and Labour parties have been completely split on Brexit that the Brexit divide has never been along simplistic 'left\right' generalisations, and then of course there are the various other political parties which Iwan appears to be unaware of.......

They will start next month (who's not paying attention ?)

MACRON saying "The UK must give full access to French fishing boats and must align forever with EU rules"

I feel he's just acting tough because he has so many problems at home and an election coming up.

Not exactly rushing are they?

Btw inventing quotes like you did above doesn't fool anyone and could be construed as a lie.

Immigrants in general, and the UK's BAME communities in particular, tend not to get involved in visible protests, except in extremis, because of the negative and sometimes violent response that follows. It is not just what are now former remainers, lefty or not, who thought there were large numbers who would vote Leave for xenophobic and racist reasons, Farage and Leave.EU did as well. That is why they deployed a number of racist tropes and scare stories leading up to the referendum. Demographic statistics show that Leave areas tend to be the Tory English Shires as well as poorer areas, with less education and older populations. They tend to have below average imigration as well, certainly BAME immigration anyway. Areas with higher immigration, that are multi-racial, tended to vote remain.
