no, she was a fomer girlfriend who he claimed he almost 'jumped ship for'

that plan fell down .........

So, Boris has dumped his WA bill.

This means the election and a win for Tories and Brexit party alliance drains the swamp of remoaners and ironically allows us to go to WTO on 31st January if not before.

NO DEAL !!!!!!!   AT LAST !!!!!

" Operation Yellowhammer, Whitehall’s no-deal Brexit planning effort, has been shelved, the government has confirmed. The government has spent at least roughly £2billion (or £30 per person) on no deal preparations up to now"

"Business reluctantly welcomed the extension but bemoaned the continuing lack of certainty. Many have been forced to shell out thousands of pounds to prepare for no deal only for there to be another extension."

" Josh Hardie, CBI Deputy Director-General, said: “Business will be relieved that common sense has prevailed and a damaging no deal exit has been avoided this year. "

" National Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Mike Cherry said: “For many small firms, extensions are doubled-edged swords – yes they safeguard against the damage of a no-deal Brexit but they also prolong uncertainty without actually removing the potential of a no-deal further down the road. "

I'm sure future generations will scratch their heads and wonder how it was that so many were conned so easily. How so many thought that removing working and enviromental protection was a good idea. How allowing food safety to be removed, how having to pay far higher costs for medicines and accepting cuts to universal health care was a good idea - yet having to stay with the same trade regulations but have no say in drafting them. To pay higher tariffs. To see farming decimated as cheap unsafe food is allowed to be sold with no requirement to list ingredients or country of origin. 'Cornish clotted cream'......it won't even need to be made in Cornwall or even labelled where it came from.

As said elewhere, it is like opening the gates and telling the Trojans not to worry about building a wooden horse, they can come in and help themselves....with no resistance.

Truly some of the stupidest folk the human race has produced in living memory.................brexiteers.

Boris Johnson will abandon attempts to push his Brexit bill through this parliament in a bid to get the Liberal Democrats and the SNP to agree to an election before Christmas, although the parties are still in dispute over the potential date.

Screw that .. the appropriate thing for the opposition parties to do is to force debates on what has been put by the government before Parliament. All of the details have to come out, expose what the Tories are prepared to vote for... Don't let them off the hook to rush to the country with the message "only we can get Brexit done"

An election before Christmas is looking more and more likely.

The Lib Dems want an election without Brexit sorted, neither Johnsons deal nor any amended version that might emerge during the scrutiny of the WA Bill.

They need to be able to go into the election as the only party with a clear manifesto commitment of stoping Brexit completely. A simple and clear message. They will be hoping for their best election result for years.

The last thing they want will be any sort of WA agreed before a delayed election in the new year.

Therefore makes sense for them to support the GE bill tomorrow, maybe after agreeing the exact date.

Whilst that should be what happens, Johnson quickly whipped it off the table so as to avoid debate and open scrutiny.

the question now is who is bluffing about any election. Johnson would face a real dilemma with Farge seeking to 'out bigot' him knowing that ebery lurch to the right he tok would lose the more moderate Tories to the Libdems thus leaving him with not enough to even form a minority government.

For the Libdems themselves they will know that however well they do they will likely have to go into coalition with Labour. Something that will not sit well as their election stance will be one of trying to distance themselves from Labour so as to pull in as many moderate Tories as possible. As to Labour they come across at the moment as all things to no one. If they want to pull back voters who have moved to the Lib dems they will need to actively back Remain. No more fudge and fence sitting.

At the moment however the real and I would suggest determining unknown is the huge numbers of under 34's who have recently registeredto vote. Many will simply be students who have moved away from home, changed address etc. But 2017 showed what can be done when those type of voters are mobilised to vote - and for Leave the actvity seems to be with Farage's lot.

So who is bluffing at the moment... that should become a littlle clearer at close of play tomorrow.

Except that the opposition parties and groupings (this cuts across party lines) may be able to point out the flaws in Johnson's Withdrawal Deal but are anything but united in agreeing on any alternative, let alone an alternative that might be feasible.

The only vote there has been in the Commons for a Brexit solution has been that Johnson won for a second reading. Of course that was not a definitive approval, but it is closer to such than anything May managed and in sharp contrast to the other HoC votes, which have all been to reject this or that plan while failing to suggest any alternative solution.

I have been out of the loop for a few days but I have seen claims that the 'opposition' might add a customs' union to the WA. How exactly, when the 'opposition' cannot renegotiate the WA with the EU, even assuming the EU would renegotiate again anyway, even with whatever is the government, having done it once?

By definition the EU will only negotiate with the government of the day. If this 'opposition' wants to to change ther WA then it has to become the government, and the government with an agreed and settled Brexit solution, whether that is an economically softer or soft Brexit or a No Brexit.

or in the real world that has to be put to the house

unfortunately it has been withdrawn

and I think you are getting a little bit confused with the deal agreed with the EU and the WAB

ps even hand crank wouldn't make such an obvious mistake...... I think 😏

Great ! So the Fisheries Bill , Agriculture Bill, Trade Bill and the CRACKDOWN ON FREE MOVEMENT will go thought without challenge    😏

you don't even know what a Bill is do you ?

there is none of the above, just you talking out of your ar se again

however that stupidity does provide great amusement as if te deal you are now bleating about were passed as it stands it would leave the future PM with enormous powers to do as he or she decides with regard to any arrangement with the EU

Corbyn, Swinton, and Sturgeon being given a free hand with no accountability................................only a thicko like you would think that was a good idea, as they would simply end it there and then

and only a clueless thicko like you does not grasp that any GE in December would not have enough Parliamentary time to pass any bill ie the WAB  (Parliament close for around 3 weeks over Xmas)

so my little mouse brain you will now have to wait till the second week of January at the earliest before this can be even started all over again......and by who you must wonder 😲

So why did he pull it - or was it only ever a Trojan Horse to force a GE?

Because parliament wanted time to scrutinise it, and it was so bad he knew they'd never allow it through. Thats why he tried to rush it through and then pulled it when it was clear parliament would have chance to examine it properly..... although I suspect your question was probably rhetorical,,,

Ir a No Brexit.

more lies

there has consistly been an alternative - simply remain in the EU

that these endless idiotic 'deals' keep getting rejected is not any failing by those rejecting said idiocies

but that brexit is such an incredibly stupid idea that does not have any workable formula....as is repeatedly being proven

take a look at the chaos on the M20 today, a tiny fraction of the disruption brexit would cause

any wonder the alternative is to avoid that rather than trying to come up some lunacy that might make it slightly less harmful to the country

If you have time or haven't seen it, infacts.org have been picking over it. It's not pretty and would lead to a far more authoritarian style government. Burn the WAB.

Why do Brexiters cheer the removal of their own and their children's right to Freedom of Movement?? It's the most bizarre thing to lose rights and be happy about it!!
