guess what ?

and that's assuming none of the ERG vote against whatever Bertie has cobbled together in the way of a deal

This looks like an absurd post to me, going to be an awful lot tighter than that in the real world.

Absurd indeed...poor Biil

I don't know why you feel the need to demonstrate I was right about yesterday's vote as well

I would reciprocate and post up the times you were wrong

but I do need to get an early night, before midnight if possible 🤣

I think all this vote shows is that there is a general majority in Parliament for a WA - but not without some sort of 'add-on' such as a CU or 2nd Ref. I actually suspect May's old deal might have got closer as it wouldn't of antagonized the DUP.

So EU will almost certainly extend to end of January (and Johnson must accept - or perhaps even longer to allow comfortable 2nd ref. ) so I would guess apart from the ditch digging detail we are then into GONU or GE territory. Clearly Parliament Has Taken Back Control.

There will be no second ref.

Sorry, with so much goings on it is hard to keep up. What happens with the Queen's speech and any votes coming up?

The WA was always going to get through the 2nd reading. The next step, Committee stage will be where it all comes apart again. And even the mention of a second referendum.

clueless as ever

tonight showed that Johnson's deal was as dodgy as anything Arthur Daly tried to flog - and as soon as the House asked to look under the bonnet Johnson ended any attempt to flog it

and anyone daft enough to think that MPs wanting to scrutinise the Bill meant that approved it is deluding themselves

so as Bill stated way back, the UK will still be in the EU on Nov 1st, and for a long while yet

the impossibilities of brexit were merely shown yet again with the lies and deception over the Irish border

and, as also said, the UK either in or out of the EU - and the Tories know that leaving can only be done through leaving without a deal - which even they aren't so thick as to think feasible

still I don't doubt the thickos will over excite themselves about some date in the future.......only to be confronted with reality, yet again

and no Tory liar has conned you any more than someone who sells you are a yellow painted 50p as a gold doubloon has conned you - it is your own stupidity that has conned you

One rule of any politician (told to me by my local MP years ago when I won / overturned a decision by a county council) was never to say never... or no.

Always give yourself a way out. Else you'll have to die in ditch of your own making.

I think it applies to Bill as well :)

The good thing in for me is that no matter what the outcome of the vote on Saturday Boris has won. If he wins great, but if he loses then Labour now have no excuse for a general election, so bring it on. 👍

This still remains  😀
