The Positive Brexit Thread

The Brexit Party even doing well in hard Remaniac London 😎

eu-elec-london.jpg?resize=540,334&ssl=1

A poll of Londoners by YouGov for Queen Mary University of London shows the Brexit Party coming a strong second in London, just four points behind Labour and delivering them the same number of seats. This projection gives Labour, Brexit and the Lib Dems two seats each, with one seat a piece for the Greens and Tories. Change UK would get no seats 🤣 Ladbrokes are offering 2/1 on Change UK not winning anything anywhere. If they can’t win in London, where can they..? 😂

Blimey... 😀

oh dear, hand crank back to his sweary, potty mouth self again

this time he seems to be getting upset that the EU is keeping to the rules that the UK helped to draft, and then signed up to - how naughty of them

for those interested

here's another right wing nut job trying to cover his lies ... by shouting (again)

Oh, ffs! As if Lefties Herman and SmallFry weren't enough I come back to the thread to find it turned into an episode of the 'Twilight Zone' with trite posts by Billock and Squit.

PurpleBellender is over at the EU thread rehashing guff about the state of the motor industry and how it's all Brexit's fault (even though we haven't left the EU)

And here I go again having to address the same regurgitated questions that have previously been answered on numerous occasions:

Recent figures confirm that car output and sales took a downtrend when the government hiked Vehicle Excise tax in 2017 -- The BoE assisted with their squeeze on car loans --- Recent months have shown also that there's been a parallel fall in car sales in China, the USA and especially in Europe.

As Sir John Redwood says "Why don’t they speak out about the tax hikes here and in China that have hit demand? Why don’t they discuss what is an affordable and responsible level of new credit to buy cars? Why don’t they comment on how the shift to a strong attack on diesels by the EU and various governments including the UK have upended the big investment in diesel-powered vehicles the EUK industry has recently made? Why don’t they discuss how they will design and invest in a new generation of electric cars that enough people want to buy, if that is the agreed way to the future for the industry and governments?"

Redwood continues "UK March car output was down by 14%. The SMMT predicts a total production of 1.36m cars this year in the UK, down from 1.52 million last year.

The main manufacturers are scrambling to shut down excess diesel car capacity, much of it modern and expensive, whilst trying to design and invest in new hybrid or electric vehicles.

There is not yet much customer enthusiasm for the new electric cars governments want them to sell making judging the new investment difficult.

The industry also decided to hold the usual summer shutdowns of plant for holidays and maintenance around the original date for Brexit, so the April figures will carry the impact of that as well. The industry could not even work with the government it seems so close to to be able to arrange the closedown at the right time for Brexit, given their unjustified pessimism about the process."

Oh, and now Billock is over at the EU thread attempting to put Sir Nigel of Farage in a bad light, as if that'll prevent the Brexit Party doing extremely well in the EU elections 😀

Who do you think you are, Billock - Andrew (jug ears) Marr?

Is John Redwood still advising people to take their money out of the UK?

Has he learned the Welsh national anthem yet?

What have either of those questions got to do with the state of the motor industry?

Seems all you Lefty, Remaniacs are trying to emulate Andrew (jug ears) Marr now 😀

The latest YouGov poll for the European elections shows support for the Brexit Party growing even stronger  up 4% from their previous position. Meanwhile Labour is collapsing and the Tories are almost down to single figures, and the Lib Dems have continued to squeeze CHUK to irrelevance. Since the European Elections have been held under proportional representation, no party has ever got more than 33.5% of the vote. The Brexit Party look like they could smash that record…

Labour support crumbling almost as much as the Tories on that one.

Just asking questions Julian. Simple, straight questions. Why do you have a problem with them?

Here's another one.

What do you expect to get in return for shilling for extremely wealthy people like Farage and Redwood? Are they chucking you a few bob? Pat on the head?

👍 Welcome to the thread, Van Wink -- it's nice to have a common sense voice on it.

Farage was right -- Andrew (jug ears) Marr and his BBC bubble cohorts can bluster and dissemble as much as they might, but it looks as though the result of the EU elections will make their bowels turn to water 😀

The Remaniacs want a 2nd Referendum? Well, here it comes on May 23rd -- 'Ave it large 😎👍

A 'No Deal' Brexit was the default position of the EU from the start

This is of course a complete falsehood

--- exiting the EU on WTO terms has always been the EU's position and yet again,  I'm going to present you with the reasons why:

The EU always refused to do a trade deal with UK until after its departure. Another porky, a no deal Brexit is expensive for the EU and ruinous for the UK. The EU have been keen to avoid this. The EU proposal was a two stage process. Stage 1 the withdrawal agreement. Stage 2 the future relationship. Stage 1 could have been completed in a matter of months if the Brexiteers were less intransigent and allowed May to be flexible. Even with the May/Brexiteer delays the EU offered an effective transition period during which the future relationship could be negotiated prior to the UK effectively leaving.

The EU refused to allow the UK to negotiate trade deals with other countries. Or rather other countries told the UK it was impossible to produce a trade deal with the UK until stage 1 and 2 above were completed.

The EU's default position was always for the UK to leave with no deal which included trade. You seem to be repeating yourself here @Jools and of course it still isn't true.

WTO exit has therefore always been the official default position. In Farage's dismal Question Time performance an audience member called him out on this with the simple question what countries relied on WTO terms. It was a wonder to behold as he flapped about like a fish on a slab gasping for air before admitting he couldn't give an answer because there isn't one (his words).

His performance on Marr was even worse - called out on his prior comments he had no answer. You can see why the Brexit Party have no manifesto and no policies, the man has no clue. Word his his media handlers (who knew Farage needed media handlers) abused a female producer on the way out (nice look). They knew their man had been found out and his easy ride from the media was over.

Oh, in f*cks name... 🤪

Stages 1 & 2 only came about through Appeaser Theresa's sheer incompetence -- We held all the cards and she capitulated from the very beginning because she wanted to remain in the EU -- The world and its f*cking dog knows that.

As to Farage being shown up on QT and the Marr interview, I can positively tell you that you and your ilk are an ever decreasing minority who think that -- The world and its dog also knew he'd eventually get a hard time from the media -- again.

The voting intention of people in the coming EU elections is proof of it.

Like I said earlier, go back to the EU thread with your lying b0ll0cks and leave me to post the truth in this thread.

3 years late but it's still good to see Farage getting a proper questioning. A lot of these headbangers have been allowed to spout utter bollox for far too long just for clicks and bums on seats.

Will decent, but conned, people wake up to their bilge before they are too far gone?

Well, Hermanski, the more the Brexit Party are seen to be doing well, the more Farage will be asked stupid and irrelevant questions that's for sure.

For obvious reasons, it's always been in the Lefts interests to portray Farage and anything to the Right of Lenin as everything bad under the Sun and millions of moderate & apolitical people have in the past bought into it -- The Brexit vote, the rise of populism throughout Europe (the world in fact) and Trump's election victory rather suggests the Left are finding their authoritarianism & globalism an extremely hard sell right now.

And rightly so 👍

New figures released by the ONS this morning reveal that wages continued to rise above inflation from January to March, despite the quarter having been expected to end with the UK leaving the EU. Excluding bonuses, employees have seen wages rise by 3.3%, an inflation adjusted rise of 1.5% compared with a year earlier…

Meanwhile the UK employment rate was estimated at 76.1% rising from last year’s 75.6% and the joint-highest figure ever recorded 😎 Unemployment has continued to fall, now at 3.8% it’s the lowest this country has seen since 1974 😎  All despite Brexit… 😜

Who would have thought it? As soon as the bottomless pit of labour from overseas dries up... wages rise 😀👍

Change UK leader MP Heidi Allen has challenged Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage to a live TV debate ahead of the European elections.

Farage has declined, saying: "Who is she?" 🤣

Reminds me of the following glorious moment in the HoC:

I come on this site to read about football but this is getting silly. You go around from thread to thread posting your fascist views. I am not a remaniac as you dub people who disagree with your extreme views but after three years of lies and counter lies can we not get back to football and you post on more relevant sites 🤮

This fellow Jools is amazing I am a reader not a poster and hence my low number of posts. But he feels it OK to tell folk to F off or call them names but call out his extreme views in any way and you are blocked. It’s like many politicians, of all leanings, who can rant and rave but never answer questions. By the way how do you block people so I don’t have to waste my time reading his posts.

Guido sources tell him that the Brexit Party has today passed its goal of 100,000 people having signed up as registered supporters of the party, paying £25 each. That’s £2,500,000 raised in small donations in the course of just four weeks since the party launched. Expect the 100,000 members figure to be officially confirmed later today 😎👍Meanwhile Change UK have refused to reveal any information about donations they have received over the last two months… 🤥

The Tory Party last month revealed it has reached 150,000 members for the first time in almost a decade, but then promptly complained about it. If the Brexit Party continue their trajectory they’ll overtake the Tories in just over two weeks… 😀👍

The Brexit Party were not included in that poll:

Labour have opened up a nine-point gap over the Tories, according to the latest Kantar general election polling. The Tories slumped to just 25% behind Labour’s 34%. Kantar’s poll from March had a ten-point lead for the Tories – that’s a 19-point swing to Labour in just two months…

tories-9-behind-poll-copy.png?resize=540

Incredibly, despite not even being included in the poll, the Brexit Party secured 10% and 4th place entirely on the basis of spontaneous mentions. No such luck for Change UK, they also weren’t included but only managed 1%. How much worse would the Tories have scored if the Brexit Party were actually included?

That's a fun post BF, but I think you'll find the way it's gonna work is that we leave on WTO terms initially, while we work on FTAs around the world. Yes, I know not enough work has been done in this area and it's shameful that three years have been wasted when we should have been much further down the road, but on the bright side it looks like the voters are going to sort this mess out as the politicians don't seem capable.

Seems like some of the Brexit Party candidates are on record with some interesting views. Legalising pornography involving children, legalising Internet Pornography in general, supporting the IRA, in favour of revolutionary communism.

Perhaps some ideas for Fraudage when he does put a manifesto together (along with abolishing the NHS)
