KiwiScot 1,418 Posted April 6, 2019 (edited) Leeds choke more than a porngraphy(p*o*r*n*) star does. Edited April 6, 2019 by KiwiScot

As it stands, the gap will be bigger anyway and The Champions of Europe will be wearing brown trousers in the playoffs. Such a shame after they'd already won the league by the end of August.

As long as they ultimately go down I'd like them to close the gap. It's the hope that kills you, if it's over and you are resigned to relegation then you can accept it and move on. I'd like them to come close to staging a comeback and then ultimately fail and let the misery drag on.

keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted April 6, 2019 Well we gain more points on our chasers so its been a brilliant weekend. An 8 point gap is worth 9 with the goal difference so it is completely in our hands.

Even just maintaining the gap with each game played is massive. With only 6 games remaining both Sheffield Utd and Leeds would have to catch us by over 1 point per game to finish above us. To put it another way they BOTH have to better our results in a minimum of 3 of the remaining 6 games. That's presuming that they BOTH win 3 while we lose 3. Them drawing a game and us losing one would change the situation little. All the while with the games fast running out and with each passing game leaving no room for error from BOTH of them, whilst they have to hope that we implode and we lose 4 of the last 6. Essjayess 307 Posted April 6, 2019 One stat that has been completed today...City are now mathematically gauranteed to finish in the top 6. That makes this season a resounding success already, although of course, much much more is seemingly our way in the next few weeks.

Although I suppose if they are guaranteed a playoff place, they may rest a couple of players and/or lose focus.
Budapest Canary 151 Posted April 6, 2019 Expeted (and would have preferred) the Blades to lose and Leeds to win, but this is almost as good. The gap extended to 7-8 points (respectively) which means that any of the two fails to win all their remaining 6 games (which I think is unlikely) 3 wins out of the next 6 should be enough for us. Nuff Said 4,938 Posted April 6, 2019 (edited) They’re still trotting out the ‘other teams try harder against us’ line on WACCOE. That’s right, other teams wouldn’t try hard against the standout league leaders who actually have years of recent premier league experience, as opposed to a has-been once big club who live in the past, would they? ****s. Also, they are coming to the same opinion of Bamford as the rest of us. 😆 Edited April 6, 2019 by Nuff Said

Icecream Snow 761 Posted April 6, 2019 I think our final game with Villa could be a strange one, as I'd expect us to be up by then, and for Villa to be guaranteed a playoff spot, and only having eyes for the playoff matches.

A game of Beach Football then, maybe we could play it at Yarmouth if the tide is out. Not so many beaches round villa way.
