If the aim is promotion first and foremost then it does matter.  Some seem to be assuming that we're just going to keep on winning.  The problem being that having 2 clubs right on us with little buffer a slip from us can see us drop out of the top 2 more easily.  Surely people can understand this???

But you’re assuming both Leeds and shef Utd are going to keep on winning. If they can, so can we

EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS IT WOULD BE BETTER IF LEEDS WON.

Some of us are just looking on the bright side and back our chances of beating the 22nd best team in the league...

It doesn't 'matter' because there is nothing WE can do about it. We can only influence our own game. We keep winning then it doesn't matter

I know we should want them to win but I can't help but smile seeing Leeds go behind...

Ditto but prefer a draw or a Leeds win

Keeper off... Might prove costly for future games

No they don't. A read back through this thread will tell you that!

Fact is, our football is better than either of theirs. Despite Leeds fans assertion we are chokers, our football is economical and progressive and will stand up.

They have looked very poor and Bamford has been powder puff and doesn't like attention.

Very much this.

I bet NBS loosens the top of salt cellars in chip shops for fun!

I’d have much preferred a draw than a win to either side.

Ultimately we are still top and if we go about our own business properly we will still be 4 clear of second, in this case it’s Sheff U instead of Leeds.

Anything but a Sheff U win for me.

Or a Sheff U win with a Leeds straight red and a bad injury

You're right. Might not be the best result for us but if we win we are four points clear at the top. That's still one hell of a good position to be in

We may well have to.

This game was always going to produce negatives and positives for City, namely both sides could not lose or both sides could not win. As its turned out, as of now, the tightness has has tightened but it means City are gauranteed to be top dogs thru the international break, no matter what they do at Rotherham. OTBC.

Once again Leeds proving that if they don't score early they really struggle.

Didn't want a Sheffield utd win, but it's happened in the best way with the red card and injury (which I hope isn't serious but enough to keep him out for a couple of matches)

Like most I would have preferred  a draw so both teams 'lost' points, or a Leeds win to make it more of a two horse race, but as others have said it is within our own hands.... which is not the worst situation to be in by any means. :classic_biggrin:

Hey ho. With the right results we could have had one foot in the Premier League by the end of the day. That result means that won’t be the case now. Just have to keep doing what we’ve been doing by being the best and most consistent team in this league.

Still top, 5 points ahead of 3rd and a game at the Merry Millers to come. Time for a quick squint at WACCOE.

Think you might want to have another look at your maths there ...

Even more important to bring 3 points back today if we can. Not the ideal result, but to be honest - is it that bad that now two teams need to better our results in two games rather than one?
