lucky green trainers 0 Posted December 10, 2005 we''ve gone one step forward today - if worthy picks flem and shifts thedoc over to davs position, then IMO we''ll have gone 2 steps back.

JP 0 Posted December 10, 2005 well obviously if Shackell was fit he''d slot right back in. i dont know, we''ll see, maybe flemming!?
lucky green trainers 0 Posted December 10, 2005 adams reckons people have been saying should flem have been dropped and that he''ll be playing next week.Shacks can''t be ready, ''cos i''d like to see him start alongside the doc.The doc won''t play as well in left centre back position alongsideflem, he''ll get blamed for error, get dropped andthen shacks will be playing with flem again. Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted December 10, 2005 Adams and flem are best mates..I reckon Doc will get moved to the left CB position were he has been utter poo for us

If Shacks was fit he would have been on the bench, he can''t just go from nowhere straight into the team can he? Has he been playing in the reserves?
Mouse 0 Posted December 11, 2005 Rossi Jarvis is a central midfeilder, why would we want to play him in central defence?
LinkNR9 0 Posted December 11, 2005 How about Hughes - he''s played him everywhere else! This is a tongue in cheek suggestion, just in case anyone thinks that Worthy is so tactically inept that he''d actually do this!...Er, wait a minute...Goodness me...no...please!!! Huddy 0 Posted December 11, 2005 Hopefully Shackell because * He''s done nothing wrong and fleming wont be about for10 more years* Doherty is crap with fleming.P.S. On football manager 05 rossi J was a centre half
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted December 11, 2005 Fleming. But let Doherty (our most consistent player) stay on his favourite side. Also, make him Captain so he calls the shots.
Mouse 0 Posted December 11, 2005 I''m quiet happy to admit it if I''m wrong, but I thought that when I saw him play for the reserves he has played in central midfield
Rossi 0 Posted December 11, 2005 Only Shacks fits the bill, but they never looked too hot for the reserves together
Syteanric 1 Posted December 11, 2005 Rossi Jarvis is a center back.. which if u might not know unless uwatch the youth and reserves regularly ... He has only been playing in midfield for the last few monthsjas :)
AJ 1,218 Posted December 12, 2005
Rossi Jarvis is a central midfeilder, why would we want to play him in central defence?
he is actually a defender he is being played in central midfield to toughen him up, williams said so. Well hopefully it will either be:1) Shackell (hopefully if fit)if not then2) Charlton (better than flem......)3) Rossi Jarvis (probably better than flem)4) Flem (last pick)
ZLF 274 Posted December 12, 2005 On the evidence we have so far this season Doc and Flem as apartnership does not work (Cov and then the game davenport was suspended) Doc on the left side of the partnership does not work Doc is far better on the right side of the partnership than Flem So playing to strengths we keep doc where he has been so impressive recently - as right side of central defence. Assuming Flem cant do the left side job otherwise he would have been played there before either last season or this, we have to look elsewhere. I assume that colin cant do the job.As AJ rightly recalls Charlton is a left sided central defender with prem experience (and performed better than flem at that role last season but got the blame ahead of club captain). In shacks absence (I cant think he will be fit even though I pray he will be) we should play to strengths - Charlie to partner Doc. If Charlie can do a job on Henry then experienced Charlie should have enough for Walcott.Anyone else is just a mistake. OTBC
