Yes, the target man that is... PAUL MCVEIGH, I dont see why we should play him in place of Ashton when we have been looking for a strike partner for Ashton all season, Maybe now we''ve found one we''ll lose Ashton. typical

To be honest allways city have yet to face a good team - this league is full of average sides.  Our best performance of the season was against Reading who were made to look mediocre by city and were lucky to go away with three points.

But that only highlights how poor we have been for the rest of the season because Reading are second rate yet running away with the league.   Thats why Worthy should be gone.

We have nothing for fear on saturday except ourselves.

McVeigh has proved his inconsistancy again and again and again. He''s

ALWAYS been at his best as a sub, what short memories people have

Short memories?????

Surely you have then forgotten the 01/02 season, the 02/03 season (when he finished top scorer with 15 goals, most of which he scored from left wing) AND the first part of the 03/04 season (til Nigel got the loanees in and Paul disappeared) when he was our best player by far.

During all of the above mentioned spells (two and a half seasons) he was our best player, the first name on the team sheet, and the fan''s favourite in every position he was played in - right wing, left wing, up front and behind a front two.

The only thing inconsistent about Paul McVeigh is the amount of games he gets picked by the manager, and it''s hardly his fault he can''t build up any form when he gets one and a half games in three different positions then gets dropped.

I''m pretty sure it''s you who has the short memory.

Yes yes you''re absolutely right. I remember now it was another McVeigh

the crowd were slaughtering when the players walked off at half time at

Gillingham and Watford away, Burnley at home yada yada yada yada yada

yada.....how his lazy attitude in training resulting in the coaching

staff going public with their crticism (and subsequent praise when he

pulled his little finger out). I''m not disputing he has the ability,

but its one game in five, the only time he shows his worth is as a sub.

He''s never had 90 minutes in him.......

Average player, too small and too lightweight, just like Henderson now

and Notman then, though McV does have a better attitude......
