I've found Mr Gunn's co-commentary quite irritating tonight......

Love the guy but since his sacking, he always sounds like a man routing for the other team.

Out thought, out played and out run. And I haven't even looked at the stats!

Possession in our favour 60% to 40%

Shots in our favour 20 to 11

On target in our favour 9 to 4

Corners in our favour 8 to 3

Pukki has had a very good game.

probably would have been even better had he taken the penalty........

Aarons hugely lucky to stay on the pitch for that. Mindless.

Whole team has shown commitment and passion though. Never stopped, even at 3-0 in stoppage time

I said it was game over at 2-0 because there are too many out there not on top of their game tonight which is obvious to see.

We’ve played well this half though.

I'll happily miss 'passion and commitment' that should probably have led to a needless red card cheers.

The penalty was the turning point,  unacceptable...I mean our record

This. I wonder who will take the next?

No shortage of effort there. I think it was always going to be a bit sloppy at the start coming from playing rubbish like Ipswich at the weekend, but something really needs to happen regarding those penalties. I really think we'd have got something from this game if that had been scored.

Ah well.

Alex Neil showing plenty of class at the end.

I noted Declan Rudd got a round of applause from NCFC fans at HT too. Who knew that you can maintain a positive relationship with the fans if youre not an egomaniacal little c***. Its almost as if you get respect from the fans if you behave like an adult after leaving instead of jeremy kyle fodder antics

You’re always so tetchy. Chill out.

I wasn’t simply referring to that incident but commenting on a team that has pushed for a goal even when very unlikely to make any difference to the game.

Yes it was a silly moment but I’d rather that than just idly plodding through the game once Preston went 3 up. It’s the never say die attitude that’s helped get us where we are

cheers

Fair enough- I think the fact you'd quoted my post about Aarons made me think that was what you were focusing in on.

However I disagree with your final sentence- you can have a 'never say die' attitude and not do really dumb stuff like that.
