I see a lot of Worthy Lovers pointing the finger at Ashton on here for not trying and not being able to hit a barn door....

To be honest with you guys.  If a manager cant get decent performances out of his BEST players let alone the journeymen (and he has signed a lot of them)  Then maybe he should be replaced by somebody who can get performances out of these players should be in charge?!?

Also why are we so bad at set pieces? Both defending and attacking?

so when Ashton under-performs (as he has done frequently this season) its the other players fault

but when other players under-perform they have themselves to blame.

I  get the picture now.

Ashton had a poor game at Coventry, but that aside is working hard, but getting close to zero service

He needs regular crosses into the box, and if so will score goals

The main problem is in midfield, as has been pretty obvious all season

I''m not one that points fingers at Ashton, but he has missed one heck of a number of chances. I think I read somewhere that he is 3rd in the shots stats - but then again he has been shooting from 35 yards (cos thats the closest we can get the ball to the opposition net) Thats me just gone round in a circle - what a mess we / I am in!
