I don’t see this as a sign that Lewis is off, more proper cover for a position where we didn’t really have any. With the club well in the mix for auto promotion it’s sensible to get him in now rather than in July.

Not sure I totally understand Farke saying we decided to sign him due to injuries to Morris and Thompson but I like the fact our signings are obviously well thought out- this was a guy for the summer that we were able to sneak in earlier.

I wondered whether we would actually bring someone in who could actually start for the 1st team. We couldn't predict we would be in this position last summer so I think our January planning is totally different from that envisaged.

Interesting that we planned to bring him in during the summer. Will the promotion push change that I wonder.

I sincerely hope that it is a generic advert and not targeted based on prior browsing history using google adsense, otherwise you may have some questions to answer 😂

I think we need to give Ron the benefit of the doubt here, KIO - I for one genuinely believes that he just loves the sport of women’s German figure skating 😜😂

Heise joined team training this week and said he was impressed with the Club’s facilities and football philosophy.

“I’ve seen the training ground which is very nice, and I’ve also seen the stadium which was amazing,” he said. “It’s a dream for every German player to play somewhere like this.

The training ground? The stadium?

HAS HE BEEN TO ARGOS YET? 😀

.. anyway it's a bloody lie. You can hardly see anything, even if you squint at an angle ...

I'm just glad it is the German version- at first glance I thought you were looking for nudes of Gemma Collins.

Completely agree this is what he is. Farke said weak down the flanks. If Lewis got injured now, it would derail everything.

Welcome Philip Heise. Seems to be a positive and decent  move, we certainly did need some strengthening on the left, especially after Marshall going out on loan.

As regards home grown players, well its been a close run thing all season to get the required number in on match days, but City have done ok, can always throw in a couple of U23s on the bench if needs be.

As to the defence that a couple of posters have mentioned in this topic, well, you really have to take the complete  picture and combine defence and attack and look at the for / against stats. Last season we ended with a -11 goals deficit, we are currently running at +16. That, in anyones books, is a big turnaround so dont unduly worry about defence or attack right now. Anyone wanna swap the likes of Aarons, Lewis, Klose, Zimbo and Godfrey with Whittaker, Martin, Turner, Bassong etc?

So Welcome to Norwich, Herr Heise

You'll find the locals couldn't be nicer,

 But if you are crap,

Don't be taken aback,

If everyone's calling you Scheisse.

From Bild:

DEPARTURE TO ENGLANDPhilip Heise joins Norwich City

Philip Heise (27) has never made a secret of his plans for the future at Dynamo Dresden.

"My dream is to play in England," he emphasized several times. The dream of the left-back now comes true!

As BILD learned, Heise switches to the English second division Norwich City second. The deal should be done perfectly on Thursday.

HEISE IS REFUGE TO THE ISLAND!

In Norwich meets the full-back, whose contract would have expired in the summer anyway, to an old acquaintance. The currently loaned to Darmstadt Dresdner Marcel Franke also plays there.

Heise came to Dynamo in January 2017 from VfB Stuttgart, played 58 second division games for the Black and Yellow.

After strong first months in Dresden, the native Dusseldorf did not make the happiest impression. The standard specialist even fell out with coach Maik Walpurgis. At Norwich City, numerous Germans play, including the Dortmund Marco Stiepermann (l.) The coach had Heise suspended for the last game in 2018 in Duisburg, threw him ten days ago in training camp in Turkey then also from the team council.

In this respect, Heises Wechsel is the best solution for everyone. And Dynamo also collects a transfer in the lower six-digit range for that ...

Love the "refuge to the island" bit.  Post Brexit we're sure in for a lot of stick from those nasty Johnny foreigner's. 😉

Willkommen from Dinamo Dresden,

Auf Englisch Mick Bailey addressed him,

To cover left-back,

Should Lewis get hacked,

Yellow/Green he now shall be dressed in.
