TIL 1010 4,655 Posted January 21, 2019 I honestly assumed he had hung up his boots. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46938485
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted January 21, 2019 Big chum of Lampard. It was rumoured a few days ago, and Frank didn't seem to quash it at the time.
Making Plans 929 Posted January 21, 2019 Nice to see that Derby are following our youth policy
splendidrush 698 Posted January 21, 2019 Not sure what he has to offer but he won't come cheap.
Mello Yello 2,265 Posted January 21, 2019 Maybe Cheryl will pop along and catch a few Derby games and cheer on her ex Beau/Hubby?.....Although, since their acrimonious split, she'll probably cheer on Derby's opposition......
AJ 1,218 Posted January 21, 2019 Signed as cover and assume he'll bring experience to the dressing room I assume. But at 38, Bit of an odd one this!
Chelm Canary 402 Posted January 21, 2019 Involving an ageing player on high wages who's been involved in scandals seems like a naieve move from a young manager.

Michael Starr 515 Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) Ridiculous signing. He'll be on crazy wages and now a squad player at best. In his prime, possibly one of the best wing backs England has produced. Limited pace now (for a modern wingback isn't that pretty flawed?). Derby seem to be throwing alot on money on wages for players with little or no asset value in the hope of something. canarydan23 4,060 Posted January 22, 2019 Will he be on crazy wages? I doubt he had people queuing up with offers, I don't think his American team even wanted him. His options were probably retirement, or have a few months earning something at Derby to help out his old teammate and then jacking it in.
Woodman 92 Posted January 22, 2019 Hope they make him feel more welcome than Roma did...

Feedthewolf 4,787 Posted January 22, 2019 Can't imagine it would do wonders for morale if he replaces their existing left back (Malone I think?). Guess he's just there to add experience and help the younger lads.
