splendidrush 720 Posted December 26, 2018 They're 8 points from safety as things stand. Lambert's doing a great job. We should give him a hero's welcome when they come to CR.
K Lo 246 Posted December 26, 2018 "If they are reading this, that makes them far far sadder, believe me." Â - Really ?? Most of us will well remember around 10 years ago when we dropped into League 1 and after that 7-1 home defeat to Colchester on the first day, a way back up wasn't in the slightest bit obvious. Â On a totally different, unrelated point, who is the lowest-placed former Premier League team now ? I'm thinking Bradford City, at 21st in League 1, or possibly MK Dons, 2nd in League 2 if you see them as the former Wimbledon.

I'm thinking Bradford City, at 21st in League 1, or possibly MK Dons, 2nd in League 2 if you see them as the former Wimbledon. It's much more serious for Ipswich than relegation this year. As you say, look at Bradford or Coventry. The real problem Ipswich have is a £100m debt with no assets. They do have players of course but frankly they are League 1 standard on Championship wages. They will have a real problem when tv money and attendances drop next season and no one wants to buy any of their players. An average loss of £5m will turn into £10m plus. Those of us who have been screaming for a filthy rich owner should take a long hard look at what's happening to them. One bad managerial appointment is all that it takes. Great isn't it 😂
K Lo 246 Posted December 26, 2018 Sears might be worth a bit to a mid-table Champ side looking to get into the play-offs.  £100m in debt though, that can only mean liquidation really, unless M Evans digs very deep.
