Mello Yello 2,280 Posted December 18, 2018 I feel that I have to show sympathy toward Jose......I mean.......losing your job less than a week before Christmas.......How the hell is he going to cope?...... He's the Bob Cratchit of the football manager 'merry go round'.......I suspect he's currently in the queue of the local food bank - and it's just a small tin o' corn beef on Christmas Day instead of turkey and trimmings in his cold cramped tenement.........Think of the bairns!!!..... SwindonCanary 455 Posted December 19, 2018 It's reckoned that the decision to sack Mourinho will cost Man Utd more than £18m. It must be one of the few jobs apart from being a banker where you can be handsomely rewarded for being a specialist in failure.

Bill 1,788 Posted December 19, 2018 No, their's will be a bonus - just as any football manager's contract will include
alex_ncfc 647 Posted December 19, 2018 Who ever thought a club like Man Utd would go down the "caretaker manager for the rest of the season" route? As an article on BBC says, they have effectively written this season off as well as next. I know football goes in cycles but I don't think anyone could have predicted how far behind they would fall so soon!

splendidrush 700 Posted December 19, 2018 Man U can't go down, think how much money the Premiership would lose in advertising, how much money Sky would lose in subscriptions, it's not allowed to happen.

It's the Man Utd fans that deserve our sympathy. There will be many of them up and down the country (even in Manchester) who will be looking back on how they squeaked in delight at their club appointing this self absorbed charlatan, and regretting that delight. My thoughts on those reds tonight 🤣 Several phoned 5 Live to say that Manchester United is the biggest club in the world. I must have been misinformed. I cou have sworn that was Ipswich 🙄

Apparently the value of ManU will appreciate by several gazillion pounds since they sacked him, so £18m is a bargain! That's what the man on the telly said anyway.
