Wow. Would have been a much better signing, by the looks of it! One to consider if we make it to the Prem?? I doubt we'd be able to afford him now!

Wasn't that the one where he actually came for a visit and then said he'd only sign for a team playing in Europe- as if nobody had told him anything about us as a club...

That’s the one.

Was gutted at the time Norwich couldn’t get it over the line as he always looked good quality - it has taken him a few seasons to really show it though. Not sure he would have made the kind of impact he is in Germany a few seasons back in the Premier League.

Missing out on Callum Wilson is the striker transfer that Norwich should really be annoyed about.

Lost out on Wilson because Adams had signed Grabban felt little chance of playing.  What a mistake.  Grabban never looked happy remember Arsenal goal.  Did you see his reaction to Forest goals against Villa never wanted to be here why did he come?

Yes, of course il pirata/the pirate. Of course these days we have ‘the shark’ (Vincento Nibali) but he doesn’t have the same panache or quality for me. Pantani’s 1998 Tour/Giro double is the stuff of legend, just ask Chris Froome who couldn’t pull it off last year.
