Cheeky Monkey 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Personally I''ve never really rated him. He makes quite a lot of mistakes. Seems like he''s made several within 17 minutes of todays game already.Who would buy him in January ??? I don''t think I would.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Good player but Doc has consistently outshone him since he arrived and Shacks is just as good.
no1canary 0 Posted November 26, 2005 he''s a good player, but he hasn''t really made a difference (in the lastmonth or so), so what is the point in buying him? how can things getworse without him?
Cheeky Monkey 0 Posted November 26, 2005 I agree. Even if he just scored his first goal.
Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted November 26, 2005 It would be nice to sign him but he certainly isn''t worth the 2 millionor so that Tottenham paid for him. Doherty has been a better playerthan him during the 3 months and I think he''ll continue that shouldShackell be put in beside him. Would be nice, but think the money, ifwe have it should go towards something more important. If you get whatI mean.
JP 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Do I rate him or not?, you bet i do! i think 2million for him is a perfect amount really that we should be paying for him, admittedly it will prob be more. He is a huge step up compared to fleming at CentreBack, and also to Shackell but not so much so. I think in Doherty and Davenport we potentially represent the best centre-back partnership in the championship. if you compare our back four from last season in the prem: Edworthy, Doherty, Fleming, Drury....to....Wright (Colin), Doherty, Davenport, Drury from this season, there is a noticable step up in quality, and posssibly given the chance in the prem again, the Back four of this season would do themselves proud. So IMO if we are even to still dream of getting promoted this season we should do everything within our powers to sign Davenport! I find it differcult to believe that some of you dont rate him (yes he did have a slight off day today) but the rest of his performance for us this season have been, sorry to use a worthy favourite, ''first class''! lucky green trainers 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Personally I''d have been pleased to have the doc & davsplaying together last season, we would have stood a better chance ofstaying up than flem and charlton. Also when davs go, and if shacksisn''t fit - worthy will probably shift the doc to left side and bringin felm on the right side - not a good idea in my opinion from pastefforts together. Old Boy 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Who rates him? Me, and the majority of people who''ve watched him play for Norwich. He''s tall, intelligent, and committed. He made a mistake today, and he''s made a few other less costly ones, but he''s the must-have for us this Christmas.
Robbo007 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Davenport and Doherty have held the team together in the past few months, and one bad game doesn''t make them a poor team.Davenport has been superb with us, but i feel he doesn''t want to come here, and that we wont pay the required fee
