Bill 1,788 Posted November 21, 2018 From today's Pinkun " City have conceded one goal fewer than they managed after 17 games last season, but it is at the other end where the real difference lies: the Canaries’ tally of 28 goals scored is 12 more than at the same stage of last term. " A few heavy defeats early has put up the goals against number, but since then we have been quite 'frugal, as to conceding goals. And at the other end we seem to have picked up well - almost double the tally. How long we keep Pukki may well depend on where we are next season - likewise Rhodes. All we need now is to find a penalty taker - one who will 'welly' the ball rather than have some 'soft shoe shuffle' approach
It's Character Forming 1,156 Posted November 21, 2018 Good point. Except for Millwall, it's quite a while since we've conceded more than one goal, and Millwall was really because our defence switched off after we took the lead so a bit of an aberration. So I agree the early defeats have inflated that number. My feeling is the defence is generally looking pretty solid now. Up front it's great to have two accomplished finishers in the squad. It's been a while since we had that !
