DONT REMEMBER YOUR TENURE AS ENGLAND MANAGER 0 Posted November 10, 2005 I still personally feel that Shackell is one of our most talented players and without shadow of a doubt was responsible along with Safri and Ashton in nearly keeping us up. When he is fit he has to start. Davenport as good as he is has not proved to me that he is better than Shackell. Shackell has lacked confidence this year but what player apart from Safri has actually played consistently well. Shackell will be our captain in a few years if he is still with us.
