Song for Drury

Recommended Posts

He is back!!! Not only is he back but he is tackling superb, discipline is superb, he is over lapping, he is taking players on and he has his crossing boots on!! DRURY, BRENNAN & HUCK on the left down snake pit corner. AWESOME! (McVeigh on the right)

WHY DO WE NOT SING HIS NAME!!!!! Show some respect to the man, he is the only name we don''t sing!!!

SUPER, SUPER AD
SUPER, SUPER AD
SUPER, SUPER AD
SUPER ADAM DRURY

harsh! But agree.

However is that what you have to do to have a song sung about you??

Easy name:-
There''s only one adam drury!
(The tune of yellow army) Adam Drury, Captain Drury!

Snake pit will beat the barclay to a song!

I''ve noticed about what your saying on the matter but i remember reading in Y''Army issue 3 a song for Drury. Someone did suggest a song for him in that issue .

A Drury (yellow submarine Tune)

From the town of Peterborough
Norwich City no 3
The finest left back in the world
Better than Carlos or Maldini
We all live in a drury Wonderland
A Drury Wonderland
A Drury Wonderland

Now this wasn''t from me but as i say it was printed in Issue 3 although i don''t think i''ve heard a song sung that has come from the publication as yet.

Lets just keep it simple and sing he''s name. Poor old bhoy. It seems beginning of season Flem and drury were getting a ribbing for not having their names sung, you could see how Flem reacted when we sung he''s name for the first time the other week, he was made up!! They are our un-sung heroes who at the moment head the best defence in our league.

Next home match corner of snakepit and barclay, we will try and get one going just as he is about to take a throw, reckon we could make Adam cry with pleasure,

you are our svensson, our only svensson
you make us happy when skys are grey
like iwan roberts - but only younger
plaese dont take our svensson away

instead of alan shearer in the middle

(Sorry - name dropping - but I am royalty) Craig Fleming told me that he, Mullers and Drury get the p!ss taken out of them by the rest of the squad because they never get their names sung. I said (because I was drunk) ''but that''s not fair, you''re our best players.'' I promised him we''d get something together but that was a year ago - hence him looking so chuffed when we sang his name the other week!
I reckon if we just sing their names any old how they''ll love it...
How about this for Mullers....(to the tune of ''David Neilsen la la la la la'')
"Try and get a tackle in, Muuuuulryne,
Just a little tackle in, Muuuuuuuulryne,
Go on get a tackle in Muuuulryne,
Stop leaving it to Holty, Muuuuuuuulryne,
You can get a tackle in, Muuuuulryne,
Go on get stuck in, Muuuuuuuulryne,
etc, etc, etc."
It''s a winner, I''m telling you.

Given this a bit more thought,to the same tune,Paul McCartney''s Mull of Kintyre;

Adam Drury,
Captains the team,he is our no.3,
Mr.Reli-a-ble,
Adam Drury

(2nd Chorus-higher key)
Adam Drury,
Take us back home to the Premier League,
''Cos we do belong there,
Oh,Adam Drury

How about, to the tune of ''You are my sunshine''

He''s Adam Dury! He''s Adam Drury!
He is our captain, home and away!
He''s Number 3 and, he wears an armband,
And now its City all the way! City!

or to the tune of ''Glory Glory Hallelujah'' (if anyone knows it!),

Drury Drury Adam Drury!
Captain of the Norwich City
Lead the Green and Yella Army!
And we''ll all go marching on!

City! City! City!

Maybe..
