Wrights Good But Why 4 Right Backs & What Has Colin Done Wrong?

Recommended Posts

Wright looks a good signing, but with now 4

right backs at the club, surely signing a right sided midfielder/winger

would have been better - who will play there sat - hughes, hendo or

Mcveigh?. IMO Colin has lived up to Worthy''s signing hype and can''t be

singled out for our problems, especially since Worthy had a pop at

Drury over 1st Wolves Goal. Has colin fallen out with Worthy or will he

play as right winger?

Seems Nigel is bringing in the players he should have brought in this summer! Wright seems a capable, sensible full back, highly regarded in football circles, and more trustworthy than Louis-jean or the slightly unfortunate Colin, and Etuhu certainly appears a better bet than Jarrett. What a shame we saddled ourselves with that pair, because the money saved would have bought us  a decent touchline hugging right winger to supply Ashton with the service!

4 right backs?? Colin, M L-J, Wright and ??? Maybe i''m having a simple moment??

Colin has seemed capable, but I believe he often drifts out of position and gets isolated. This was apparent in the QPR game. This maybe just be a hangover from the conversion from PSV reserves to the fizzy championship. This may sort itself in time.

I do think he is good in the one on ones with a player running at him. I can''t comment on MLJ although he does appear to be good on Champ manager.

Fleming joined city as a right back and has played there this season.

Agree colin does lose position, but can''t be blamed for losing us too

many goals, and is good going forward. Wright will give us more

experience there for sure. Hughes put over a good cross from the right

for Deano to score against  Palace, perhaps he should play right

side. Won''t beat anyone for  pace but may put over a decent cross

or 2 during match.
