lucky green trainers 0 Posted November 20, 2005 If Ashton is out injured against Millwall, imo it would be best to pairMcVeigh and Thorne together against Millwall. Thorne did well yesterdayfor his first full match back and won his fair share in the air. For me, McVeigh is a better bet than Hendo to play along side him -because his goalscoring record is better and has the greater ability toset Thorne up. Colourful Canary 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Neither Hendo or McVeigh can hold upn the ball sufficiently in an awaygame to take presuure off the defence. May I be controversial andsuggest we play The Doc up front with Thorne if Ashton is unfit?I hate to break up the Davenport-Docherty partnership but perhaps Flemcan come in for one game - he should be able to cope with the mediocreMillwall attack. Syteanric 1 Posted November 20, 2005 Hendo is a good player IMO.... id liek to see him given the nod.. i think McVeighs gone off the boil again and with january fast approaching i think his time at the club could be coming to an end.He was given the chance this season and didnt take it.jas :)
silver fox 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Have to disagree because Worthy brought on Henderson rather than McVeigh on Saturday, and I think Worthy believes he gets more effort from Henderson, besides Henderson plays in the centre up front for the England u-20. If McVeigh comes in he would have to play left or right and those slots will be taken up by Huckerby and Hughes.
