The Man From Ballymena

Recommended Posts

There once was a man from Ballymena
Wanting to manage in the top arena
He used Norwich as vision
To meet his ambition
But forgot to change his demeanour

One Premiership season, and straight back down
Heights made him giddy, where’s Ipswich Town?
Let’s get back to the level
Where we really can revel
Kick and hoof players to entertain clowns ( 25,000 of them )

He put players in all wrong positions
And made penalties a player decision
When the kick was missed
The fans were pissed
But Nigel rejected the derision

He smiles as he thinks of his contract
And remembers just how he did extract
Using Sheffield as bait
He extended the date
And his Norfolk income was intact

Now the future indeed looks quite black
And he would welcome getting the sack
He’ll get money for free
And from Norfolk can flee
As long as someone is covering his back

I object most vehemently to this post.

I am not a Clown

There once was a Yankee Canary,
who wrote much that was quite contrary.
His posts of invention,
craved such attention,
But showed he was really a fairy.

There was a old poster called Yankee,

Whose rhymes were really quite swanky,

With his glass just half full,

He thought Nigel was Bull...

And wished he was more like Bill Shankly.

Pinned up in the dressing room  Gazza ? ...  I would imagine the crap hitting the fan  bigtime  if Nigel saw THAT on the wall !!
